OnePlus 7 - Adaptive Brightness Problem

  1. N1520431260526 Froyo Jun 19, 2019

    N1520431260526, Jun 19, 2019 :
The Adaptive Brightness feature on my OnePlus 7 device doesn't work smoothly. It takes a good amount of time to adjust based on the light around. I had OnePlus 5t earlier , Adaptive Brightness worked really well , but in OnePlus 7 it's not that responsive, it takes Longer than usual to adjust. Has anyone else faced this problem? please comment.

Mee too, sometimese Auto Brightness is auto deselected (i've noticed more frequently qhen entering end exiting a game, like something goes wrong when exiting game mode-max brightness)

I think it's a little less bright out in open even on full Brightness level.

Yeah think i have the same issue. I had the phone in Night mode and im sure when I woke up the device in the morning, it changed from the'day/normal' mode back to the yellow tint night mode which is should have been on anyway? It was like the autobrightness randomly changed.

Yes, same issue. Even setting full brightness does not produce enough brightness for screen to view it in outdoors in sunlight

    1) NO, because this is an USER FORUM and not a support page. Your are an Ice Cream Sandwich. You should know that here are NO DEVS or support people of OnePlus!

    2) to all:
the adaptive brightness is working different with Android 9 compared to 8.
There is an AI, which is learning from your behavior. It is implemented by Google!
Please use search function before creating redundant threads!

Then I would say Adaptive Brightness on Android 8 was better than Android 9. It was very responsive and accurate. So may be the AI part of Adaptive Brightness feature in OnePlus7 not working properly, because it does not adjust properly, takes a lot of time, and sometimes even after reducing the brightness manually, it takes more time to actually reflect that on screen. This is a general support forum for onePlus 7, that's why I have put it here.

I have also raised this issue in the feedback forum
