If you guys take a photo in the built-in camera app from instagram (or Snapchat, WhatsApp,...) does your image also have a lot of noise?

Check this out.... Just tried to click some portrait mode shots & getting these results... Even after updates 9.5.5 this is the output of OnePlus7. Really very disappointed...

Do you mean Portrait as in the phones orientation or using portrait mode in the camera settings?

no, you don't understand me, the portrait mode is just for close subjekt. not for trees that are far away

Bro it was not so far... & plz don't mistake me as i m also a big fan of OnePlus and I can differentiate easily because these problems was not there on my previous device OnePlus 6T. Trust me there r so many issues with this OnePlus7 which was not on 6 or 6T. It seems like this time company putting there whole efforts on 7 Pro only...

the camera software on the op7 is the same as the one on the op7 pro and the Portrait mode can't logically work on objects further away than around 1m because there can't be depth of field. Trust me on that.
But in notice some quirks as well, like my camera quality in third party apps is really bad. But my guess is that the new IMX586 sensor is not supported from these apps until now.

and by the way a tree is probably the most difficult objekt to use the portrait mode on, because it has no defined edges.

Update improves camera performance but still not satisfactory

--> Auto focussing is still much slower then poco f1 which i was using recently
-->photos clicked with oneplus 7 are not sharp (in wide shots like architectural)
-->48 megapixel mode colours are washed out
-->saturation level is also a bit off as compared to oneplus 6t
-->features like photo sphere can be added which we find in google camera to minimise the lack of ultra wide angle camera in oneplus 7 and older devices
-->it would be better if night Scape use camera flash to further illuminate the scene
    -->pictures are grainy
-->Pictures taken in nightscape is pixelated when zoomed a little . when i compared it to gcam night vision I found a huge difference
---->CAMERA NEEDS A MAJOR UPDATE SPECIALLY FOR AUTOFOCUSING AND SHARPNESS

--> Audio latency still there while playing audio through bluetooth headphones
-->gradually increase volume option is missing for caller ringtones (which was there in miui)

-->recent apps animation can be smoother

-->there must be an option for disabling recently deleted folder in gallery app

--> Recognition of registered finger print becomes slow after some day (Is there anyone else who has faced such issues)
