And a new issue I am encountering is the camera button on the display randomly freezes n nothing happens. I need to come out of the app, open it again , and try clicking.

I am on vacation and this kills the joy of candid clicks, sudden moments etc as whether the shot should be taken or not is up to the camera's whims and fancies

The zoom that you're trying is actually a digital zoom, not an optical zoom. There are some phones that have optical zoom (like 2x, 3x), so those work perfectly. But in the case of digital zoom, it's really bad.

I bought one plus 7 about a month back.
priviously was using Samsung note 5.
picture quality of OP7 is very poor in terms of colours n sharpness. everyone is not a photography wizard to go in pro mode and adjust .
    pls give a better update.

    Hello,

    I recently purchased OnePlus 7. (6GB RAM / 128GB storage)

I almost satisfied with all features & speed of the phone except the Camera.

After I got the phone, I received 2-3 updates which includes upgrading camera features too. But still camera pictures quality is not satisfying.

    1) OnePlus 7 features 48MP camera but it is only available in Manual mode. The picture clicked with 48MP settings having file size of just 10-12 MB with very less details.

    2) Normal in Auto mode, camera picture sizes come around 3-4 MB. By default we get the compressed & processed picture, with less details & sharpness.

    3) Picture colour adjustment is good but it reduces the sharpness of the picture.

    4) As compared to OnePlus 6/6T, camera pictures quality of OnePlus 7 is very bad. Not satisfying.

    5) In slow motion, even with full room lights, video quality comes very pathetic with flickering in the screen.

OnePlus seriously need to look into this matter & provide satisfying camera quality if they are claiming of 48MP ultra-shot camera.

Very true even i m also facing the same problem since starting. OnePlus reduced price this time & played well with low quality hardware's. OnePlus7 camera is worst than their 6T & even Xiaomi's Redmi Note 7Pro (as having the same 48mp) produces better pictures than this OnePlus7. Not only camera issues, the problem is with network signal/reception also specially on 2nd sim slot as getting very low network speed & lot of fluctuations also in signal connectivity.

3 days back I had purchased Mirror Blue OnePlus 7. The camera is absurd. It makes me feel as if it's 2mp camera. My old OnePlus One is able to click better pics than OnePlus 7. The focus doesn't work well. With each click I feel I am clicking a zoomed photo. Also there isn't much settings available other than PRO mode. Each mode should be provided with settings. Also there is no resolution and MP control. I also use to own Poco F1, the clicks on it were 100 times better than OnePlus 7. The videos also look grainy.

OnePlus team kindly look into the Camera issue. After so many years of success and fan followers, giving such a downgrade quality is disheartening. 48MP here seems just figures and not quality. It's not just me who is complaining about these issues, but almost all.

Indeed... even my 6T was better than this and yes now u have started complaining and the same i m doing just the day after launch since (5-6-19) but it seems they r very much unable to rectify & correct these camera issues. Anyways welcome to this problematic zone coz this it seems OnePlus cheated us with the camera quality of OnePlus7.

Totally agree.. it's been more than a month since I have escalated this issue to customer care with numerous pictures and videos as proof and all I have got in response is the usual "we are working on it"
