OnePlus 7 Discussion & Rumors

For me it wouldn't make sense. Because it would mean the release of the standard phone couldn't really have any fanfair or anything to speak about. It would basically be the previous pro but at a lower cost. Plus if it were the T, then it would mean using what is then an old chip in a supposedly Pro device. Or if the Pro was made the main summer release and the T was made the cheaper winter release, then it would be a down spec phone with an old processor that they're trying to put toe-to-toe with other phones which have already been on the market a few months and are much cheaper.

    To me it's not realistic.

I would love to know how much money you guys are willing to pay for the "OnePlus 7 Pro" if those specs are true.

Before the phone is officially announced, maybe @DSS18 can add a poll to the thread if you guys think that would be interesting.

The alleged specs in question, for those who skipped last pages, are:
    • Quad HD+ Super AMOLED “90hz” Display
    • USB 3.1
    • WARP Charge at 30W, 4000mAH Battery
    • Dual Speakers
    • Triple Camera Setup (Wide Angle and Telephoto)
    • BETTER Vibration Motor for Haptic Feedback

Surely a superzoom feature is a bit of a gimmick? And I say that as someone with a P30Pro.
A super-wide angle is genuinely useful. Apart from that, excellent night shots, non grainy low light indoor shots and really beautiful 'regular' shots are much more important, surely?

I would predict $900 and $550 for the standard.
What would I pay personally? I wouldn't pay that. I'd wait 6 months and buy it used from ebay when the 7T was released.

    For the basic variant.
It can go upto $699 I don't mind, I won't buy the higher models anyway! :p

Yep, I've been using the OP3 since October 2016, and it's time for an upgrade.

I'm just a tiny bit disappointed with the curved edge display on the Pro, I've had multiple relatives crack their curved screens and glass backs just from a minor drop.

Otherwise, I don't take too many selfies, nor do I use (or like) Face unlock, so the pop up selfie camera really seduces me. Be gone notch!

Warp charge? *Insert "Oh yea yea" gif here*

Quad HD? Dual speakers? Three cameras, including telephoto and wide angle? Why the *bleep* not?

Edit: I will buy the 256gb variant, don't care about the cost. 64gb limit is killing me. I don't delete photos, and stupid WhatsApp videos stay in the same folder with the better ones. I'm too lazy to move the better ones out (plus, they'd take up space which is equivalent to prime real estate) so I feel a pinch every time I clear that folder out. No more of that s~~~ from now.

I'd be willing to pay between 700-800 AUD for the Pro which at the top end is about 80$ more than i paid for my 6gb 6t. Any more than that and I'm questioning why not just get a "flagship" from Huawei or samsung on contract.

    Hey @malidan
It's been two and a half years since I logged in to OP forums, I'm glad to see you're still the same, and still here!
    Some things never change!

    IMHO that's the justified price!
Although, I'm pretty sure it won't be that.

OnePlus 7 starting from 500 Euros and OnePlus 7 Pro starting from 650 Euros would be honest pricing imo.
