Same boat, phone broke with the case on in my pocket just walking. Not even a month old. They want us to pay for defective shit? I can't even get a response from the service center because the "store is too full" what a joke. Spread the word, unless something changes no one should waste their money on this crap.

I too can vouch for the back glass breaking on its own. It sounds weird and I would call bs on someone saying that but this is the second 1+7 pro back I have had break and am now replacing again. OnePlus please address this . It is a great phone, don't let something like this ruin it's name

Do you use a case? Are you sure your phone isn't bending in your pocket?

Same has happened with my phone too. I can guarantee that it was not mishandled or dropped. One fine day I just removed my back cover and I was shocked to see the cracks that started from the volume button and has lead till camera. Please someone suggest something. It's only been 4 months.

Even my phone's back glass broken today on its own. It's been just 1 and a half month since I bought my oneplus 7T. Yesterday night it was fine the morning I woke up it broke on its own. I even use silicon back cover but still this happened. Anyone contacted customer care for this issue

Has everyone seen the Oneplus 7 Pro broken rear glass page? This is starting to show that the phone cannot handle real world situations and hopefully Oneplus will eventually address this (I'll not hold my breath waiting). I'll not be buying another Oneplus phone if it has a glass rear screen, obviously they are not fit for purpose.

Same issue. Had the phone in my pocket like any other day. Pulled it out a few hours later, back glass was cracked exactly in the same manner as described by OP.

it may be that this is a sensitive pressure point on the oneplus 7. This may be the reason, on the other hand, it may also be from prolonged heat on the glass, but I strongly doubt that.

Mine cracked when the phone was less than 3 days old. Spoke to customer support to organise a refund because of poor build quality but they don't want to know. They even emailed me to say they would refuse the refund before I'd even posted it back. They aparently inspected the phone on the 23rd January and I've heard nothing since. Have just spoken to a manager (what a rude man - kept telling me stop talking when he was talking, then said 'go' when I was allowed to talk - bet his staff love him) and he refuses to accept that there are any issues with the phone. Told him to send it back and I'd do a chargeback on my credit card. So here ends a long relationship with Oneplus, been with them since the start but their refusal to acknowledge there may be an issue with phones all cracking in the same place and the customer service being amongst the worst I've ever dealt with means it's time to look elsewhere. A very sad day.

Mine has broken exactly like this. The pattern is surprisingly similar. I haven't done anything besides keeping in the pocket and when I take it out it was broken. Clearly a quality or design issue given that it breaks with exact similar pattern starting from the buttons. A bad job one plus..

Guys same issue for me. Same conditions. I was walking with my phone in pocket then I pulled It out and suprise: back glass broken. I've noticed that all phones broke in the same point: as you can see, the cracks start from the same point: between Power button and volume selector. I think that this is the weakest area of the smartphone. I've read all the thread and I think that this is clear a manufacturing problem. Same conditions, same point the crack spreads from. Do you agree with me?
