    Hi all
I have ordered the 7 Pro 5G from EE UK.
Wanted to know if anyone knows if the firmware will be same as the 7 Pro standard version?
I.E will OxygenOS builds for the Euro version of the Pro work on the 5G variant.

no idea, will see if I can find out. the 5G variant has some different internals, so might be separate.

    Yeah I thought so.
In the UK the only carrier that has it is EE and they may sim lock it.
So I hope community comes up with way to unlock bootloader on 5g version also.
I cant wait 6 months for sim unlock code!

I got my phone today and as expected its a different model number then others.
I do hope OnePlus dont do what they do with TMobile and not release the firmware updates on thier site.
Its still on 9.5.1 so cant fastboot boot twrp and without the firmware zip I cant patch boot.img to install the other way.
So stuck on waiting for hoping they release the OTA files.

Went into EE shop before I got my OP7P5G phone and they said although the phone is unlocked to other carriers (tried that with an O2 sim which worked fine) the 5G capabilities are supposedly locked to EE.

I wouldn't take word of people working in shop.
it's not possible to lock that down via software.

Exactly why I said 'supposedly'. will definitely try and test it to see if it holds up any weight once other networks release their 5G services though.
