    DanBG90 , Aug 9, 2020 :
I recently purchased a OnePlus 7 Pro 5G (GM1925) from Amazon, and when checking the current Oxygen OS version, it appears to be running an older version (as per the screenshot). I am wondering, will the current update that is available for the phone on the Canadian version of the device be able to be flashed to it? Please let me know if you've had any issues in doing so. Thank you.

That is the latest version IIRC. The 5G variant has a different firmware than the non-5G variants.

@Artemus. Oh okay, just figured I'd check into it. I'm surprised at how far behind the Oxygen OS is on this version of the device compared to the non-5G models.

I think it's because the 5G devices are only available through carriers and therefore have a longer update schedule. I'm guessing you're on Sprint/T-Mo/Verizon?

I had a feeling that's what would be causing that. The version of the phone I purchased is an unlocked Sprint variant. I'm using it on Koodo Mobile in Canada.

Mmm, yep. Sprint got merged with T-Mo so I dunno if they'll continue pushing updates. Check XDA-Developers.
