It supports 5GHz. Check if the 5GHz bandwidth is enabled in the router.

Check wifi channel on router. Some wifi channels are not supported on android due regional regulations. If router is set to auto, it should be fine. But if you manually set a channel on the high end, some phones won’t see it.

you may still want to fire up a wifi analyzer app on your other devices and confirm what channel your router is using - it could still be a regional mismatch. Stock android is generally more restrictive in what channels it supports.

Also try an analyzer on your phone to see what it sees and you can always manually change wifi channel to something universal and sometimes crowded like 40.

Try to set up the device as a 5GHz Access Point. Can some other devices see the phone then?
Look for conflicting settings in router and update it if an update exist.
If you can see 5Ghz networks in surrounding area with other devices and the device can not work as an 5Ghz AP my guess would be some kind of hardware issue.

That would rule out that kind of problem then. If the router has some compability issues the network should atleast be visable.
Try the wifi hotspot function and run the phone as an 5Ghz access point. It should be able to share its mobile network with other units. Double check that the AP works by changing it to 2.4Ghz.

You should find out what channel your router is using - if your ipad is connecting, then 5ghz is working as you know, so find a pc or another android phone, and determine what chanel your router is running 5Ghz on. I am not sure if ipad has a scanner or not.

There is usually some kind of regulations of what channels to use in different areas of the world. 2.4Ghz networks in Sweden allow 12 and 13 for example. Those channels is often not used or limited in other countries.
I have not heard about much issues with 5Ghz...

There is probably a list of what channels OP7P can use somewhere
