Bummer. Out of curiosity, what is your phone model (from the "About phone" menu)?

This wasn't meant to indicate that it was compatible with the GM1915. Only to show that it is an issue with some OP7Ps.

Thanks. My device model is GM1917 and I also experience the same issue on 11.0.0.2. I know of at least another user on GM1917 who also has the same issue and disabling the bluetooth hearing aid service did not fix it for them.

I can't try this workaround at the moment because I have rolled back to OS 10. I think I'll keep it for the time being.

This worked for me for first call after stopping HearingAidService and rebooting. After one call, it returns to the speaker phone only mode.

I'm starting to think switching to LineageOS might be something to consider...

Try this: Go to Settings → System → Accessibility and turned on “Hearing Aid Compatibility”.

I would try the workaround I mentioned above before switching OSes.

Tried "Hearing Aid Compatibility" on and off. Rebooting either setting. Still likes to open up speaker phone only when making or answering calls which is not useful. I'm not going to try an OS change unless this goes on for much longer as I can use my bluetooth ear bud things for privacy.
    FYI - I am running 11.0.0.2.HD01AA on a model HD1913

That speaker phone kicking in on incoming calls is a pretty hard to deal with bug. The sound is coming out of the bottom speaker only, not both speakers. The speaker phone button does nothing. I assume the actual speaker phone has both speakers kick in - top and bottom. I also can no longer can use my custom made headphone cable with the built in mic, since when I use my open-back headset the person on the other end's voice is so horribly blasted loud coming out of the headset it's feeding back into my inline microphone, causing a horrible echo for the person at the other end. And there is NO way to turn down the volume of the person I'm speaking with. The volume rocker does nothing and I see no other settings. It only goes full blast volume, causing a terrible feedback loop, making my $2500 Audeze LCD i4 headphones and expensive custom made headset cable useless for phone calls. I've spent hours trying to find a fix for this. I think this will be my last Oneplus phone, because this is intolerable. I have to depend on my phone for my making a living.

While this works, it's only a temporary fix for one phone call. After that, it's back to the loud speaker.

How are you rolling back to 10? Are you side loading it?
