    Moderator edit:

Please use this thread for any questions, tips, issues and all things related to battery and heating of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Please note that the way you use the phone (daily usage scenarios and habits) will make a huge difference to the battery/heating performance. In a scenario where there is a heavy performance workload, such as photo shooting/video shooting/mobile gaming/video consumption, the power consumption and heating of the phone will increase accordingly, which is a normal phenomenon.

You are more than welcome to share any battery tips and tricks in the comment section and ask a forum moderator to pin your post on the first page of this thread.

Battery optimization never ends. To help OnePlus better resolve battery/heating-related issues, please submit a bug report via the Feedback Tool in the Community app. Thank you in advance.

I saw already test of it, and it's average... I think the battery of 4000 mAh in 6,6 display not very good idea, that could bring at least 4200 mah

"testing" is rarely real world use. When reviewers get a device, even when they try not to, they're typically putting their device through much more than typical usage. I'd say wait for some more community feedback before judging anything

that is not so good, because even if it has 4000mAh, the bigger screen use a lot of resources..i saw many videos and all of them talk about a battery that can arrive at the end of the day

Bluetooth earphones connected. Wifi and data is on. Location is on all the time. 60hz and fhd display. Really great battery life. Will test standby tonight. Love this phone.

I've seen many reviews on YouTube regarding the Battery Life and see a lot complaining of poor battery life, even for the screen resolution and 90hz fresh rate and they say it should be faster... For example I've seen few reviews where they only getting around a hour on screen time for general usage and is below 50%.

What are your thoughts on this guys and could One Plus make software improvements to improve this.

I haven't got mine yet so can't make a comparison.

    Never settle.

I've seen a few myself on social media.
Agreed maybe one plus could optimise software to possibly improve battery life.

I wonder how many people reporting this battery performance "issue" have actually put the phone on the charger and left it idle overnight so that Android can get everything, like system cache etc, all squared away.

After that is when a real battery life/drain test might mean something.

    I agree...

And as with all new phones always have plenty of software updates before they get the true picture of battery life in general

Since you stated it, you seem to have taken issue with the reply you quoted. If you did not, why did you scold?
