All I see is fighting and no solutions. My phone gets really hot just by using a simple app, and no, I don't leave my phone charging overnight, never. I'm not sure about battery life, but it does get really hot when I'm using my phone for more than 10 minutes.

Not for me, my phone gets hot after 10 minutes of playing and really hot after 25-30 minutes. I have to stop playing, and let cool if want to keep playing.

I too am in the same boat as all of these other users who have been and are continuing to report issues after the Android 11 update on the 7 Pro. I had noticed that the sound was a bit low but the main thing is the heating of the phone even when not in use at room temperature! Let's not even mention the heat of the device if I try to play any games (not PUBG - for the troll). Point is that these heating issues were not present prior to the update but they have been immediately after. I have never yet gotten a response from OnePlus to my queries but with this many of us facing issues then maybe they will do something about it... Or as one news article that I read recently suggested, maybe they won't bother as the 7 Pro is not a current device but then the decision will have been made for me as to my next phone i.e. not a OnePlus. I really hope Carl starts making phones in his new company. I like the font in the Android 11 update though 😂

Do switch off the phone for few hours and put it on charge but don't overcharge and most importantly don't let your phone get turned off now and then it decreases the battery life charge ur phone way ahead of 1 percent warning.

How is that concerning in the least? Silicon can get pretty dang hot before it causes problems. 42°C is normal.

How is it concerning? Normal? Well... Holding my phone in hand I can physically feel the heat radiating like a furnace & my phone feels like it's on fire. 🔥 You could cook an egg 🍳 on it. That's how hot it feels.

Can't recommend anything without a graph and app usage from 100% to ~20%.

I am thinking about it. I just don't want to lose all data. This alone stops me.

You'll have to wipe your phone eventually, you know. Especially after a major update.
