Have you kept your phone on QHD resolution in display settings and on 90hz ? .. ofcourse its gonna consume more battery.

Also, in a few years battery life becomes less.. due to bad charging cycle (like keeping Phone on charge and using it simultaneously, charging phone to 100% always etc). Try turning your phone off ans charge it to a 90-98 %.
Do this for a week. Should improve your battery life.

Isn't that normal? Irs a QHD device bro, working at 90hz and high graphics demanding game. I think its normal.

Go to app settings and disable background data for all apps which you don't want them to access Except Gmail, whatsapp, messaging, Facebook etc which are critical.

I only keep background data of like 6-7 total apps.

Also, notifications are turned off too, of the same number of apps, except for those critical ones. It helped me a lot. I get a day+ battery life (screen time) easily.

This is impossible on Oneplus 7 Pro to get a day screen on time. My all apps are well optimized. Battery health 90% . I get 6 to 7 hours of screen on time at most with normal use. But with gaming 3 to 4 hours. I think you meant to say " last full charge" Screen on time+ screen off time.

No way i can last my screen on time more than 6 to 7 hours, sometime 3 to 4 hours with heavy gaming 🙁😭
I wish i can get more screen on time like 10 to 12 hours so that i can use my phone the next day too !

I have not faced battery or less screen time issue with my OnePlus 7 Pro. Mine is a 6gb+128gb variant. I've kept my Screen Calibration as 'advanced' , Resolution as 'FHD', and refresh rate at 60.
Except for Gmail, Whatsapp, Messaging, Calling, Google Play Store, Clock, Calendar, I've stopped "background data", and also DISABLED WiFi for most of the Apps (except few video surfing apps and browser), AND also turned off the notifications. Its has helped me immensely.
I keep my phone storage at max 60-65 %.
I think Screen On time usage for upto 7-8 hours is easily possible. If You follow the above mentioned steps.
Also, i drain my battery completely once every week or two. I don't know how many users actually follow this critical step, to increase the battery life. I've done this with all my devices, phones, Speakers laptop. Have had a great experience.
:: Also, I use my Bluetooth headphones/earphones all the time, which consumes more battery compared to wired headsets. So don't forget to count this factor in to :).
Hope this helps whoever is reading this.

Take a screenshot of the battery graph from 100% (fully charged) to 15%.

Fhd, 90hz frame rate on phone. ts generally low graphics and frame rate. Rarely i go for medium frame rate. Still if its heating so much, then its a problem. I think frame rate in apple is low, but you dont feel that much. But in android its visible. Pro here for apple for sure. Lets see whats oneplus support can do, cos i have given my logs to them

Also, Call Of Duty is not optimised for android 11. Some user also mentioned in this thread.
