    OP7P chewing through battery much faster than my 5 year old OP1.
    LCD vs Optic LED
    40nm vs 7nm
    3100mah @ 5 years old, vs 4000mah brand new.

    I'm not a heavy user, no games, etc. Mostly email, chrome and messenger.
    OP1 could go almost 2 days, OP7P won't make it a full day (24hrs)
    Sure hope a software update helps this in the near future.

    certain things chew through battery more than others. the settings out of the box aren't battery conducive. leaving on settings like wifi scanning and Bluetooth scanning will drain battery. changing to the dark theme increases battery life as well. if you change from QHD to FHD and from 90Hz to 60Hz, you should see a pretty significant battery increase. plus i use auto brightness. I don't have to charge my phone every day so far. you may want to try some of these features to help increase your SOT.

    dark theme, background, nova launcher all the same as my OP1, wifi and bluetooth settings are the same as my OP1. Not planning to change from QHD/90hz to FHD/60, shouldn't need to, they should use a bit more battery, but not this much. The screen is on regardless, an the chipset can handle it, so just because it refreshes 50% more often, does not mean it uses 50% more current, and all the pixels are lit up regardless of the resolution setting, so again, it does not make that much difference, as it is handled by the chipset designed for it. OP just needs to work the kinks out, hopefully sooner than later.

    perfect!! people keep forgetting the big screen with QHD+ . If that was not enough it has a 90hz refresh rate. I get through the whole day with some gaming by using a QHD+ with 60hz. Not bad at any rate I would say!

    4000 isn't enought for a display of 6.7 with 90hz of refresh rate atleast a 4200mah was needed mine i have to charge twice daily oneplus 7pro 8/256
