OnePlus 7 Pro battery tips for people who are having issues. Turn your brightness to around 70-80% or less if you can view your phone comfortably. Brightness is the biggest battery drainer of all. Turn off location and Bluetooth until you need it. Restrict the Apps you do not need notifications from running in the background. Turn on battery optimizer at around 20%. I've used these tips and I get around 7 hour's of screen on time each day.

To save battery life obviously... If you do not need location and Bluetooth then turn it off until. If you do not need notifications from certain apps then do not let them run in the background. None of these things are very important and it will help you save significant battery life.

I realize that but why be required to go through the hassle.

if you really want to save battery turn the refresh rate down to 60hz rather than 90hz.

I'm sure this has been discussed before. I used to get about 2 days of battery life on the One Plus 6T. now, with the One Plus 7 Pro, a bigger battery, I'm only getting about 8 hours. anyone else having issues? Any fixes?

It must be on 90Hz, you cannot get 2 days on it, just go to Refresh Rate in Display and select 60Hz, that should do the trick for you, with that Wipe Cache from Recovery mode and you will have good battery life and if this do not help then give your feedback to Oneplus, they will be bringing update patch for resolving the battery issue. I have Oneplus 5T and I am still rocking 2 days of battery life with 6 hours of SOT and this is the New Oneplus Phone so it should not be a problem ;)

Restrict the Apps you do not use. turn off your location and Bluetooth. Make sure your brightness is around 70-80% or less. Screen brightness is the biggest battery drainer of anything. I keep my brightness at around 75% and restrict the Apps that I do not need notifications from in my background and I get almost 7Hours of screen on time each day. What percentage do you keep your brightness at.

how can I know how many procentages my brightness is?

You can't find an exact percentage but 100% is full brightness so just estimate it from that. I would just use it at the lowest brightness level you are comfortable with.

I received my phone on May 25, went through the software upgrade, added all my apps, switched on dark mode in all the areas that I could, set the display to 60 hrz, and my first experience from full battery has been great. My main metric is screen-on-time. I am at 4 hours 32 minutes with 50 percent charge remaining.

If anyone here is facing battery drain or temperature issues with their oneplus 7 pro, I had posted about it on the telegram channel, and figured out that shifting data from my 6t to 7pro using their switch app was probably the cause, it left quite a few apps damaged, they were behaving wierd, had strange wakelocks and temperatures would spike out of no where,
I did a complete reset of the phone, restored my app through google cloud and everything seems A-okay as of now, battery back up seems at the very least 10-20% better, with no spike in temps.
Will get back with a day experience tomorrow, until then, if anyone facing similar issue can try this

Glad that worked for you but unfortunately for me I originally transferred all of my data using Google and so far my battery is horrible. Draining so fast I won't be able to keep it. Had 100% this morning and already at 65% with about 30-45 minutes of usage and the screen is only using 60hz refresh.

Between this battery issue and now the phantom touch issues I'm probably going to have to return it. I'm using the 12gig ram version so I wonder if the extra RAM is hurting the battery as well.

Hey man. I doubt ram would have a detrimental effect on battery back, if at all any, and before you return it, try this.
Update to latest ota, backup every thing. Reset your phone entirely. Complete wipe, not just phone settings, wipe phone's media storage as well.
After that log in and set up everything again, it might help.
Also i have also kept my default display at auto and 90hz. It helped me out.
Do check for background location scanning their bluetooth and wifi, turn of default printing as well.
It could be due to oneplus switch or the latest ota update, am not sure. But it seems to have been resolved as of now for me.
Try this and get back with your experience. It should help others as well.
    All the best.

Thanks. I may try that but just don't have the time to do it right now. I read that disabling NFC cures/helps the phantom touch issues and that seemed to work but I need to know this is an issue that they can fix with a software update and not an unfixable hardware issue. Hopefully they will release some information soon about a fix otherwise I'll probably have to return it and wait for them to iron things out before repurchasing it.

Love the phone and hope they can get things fixed before I have to return it and wait. Still have a 5T which still works great so glad I haven't sold it yet.
