I have been using OnePlus 7 Pro for 2 days and I have noticed that the battery performance is not great at all. The reviews of OnePlus 7 Pro say that battery comfortably lasts two days with normal usage and one day with heavy usage but in my case it went down to 15% in 13 hours without any game play or heavy use.

It's my first time buying a OnePlus. I recall there being a battery troubleshooting thread earlier this week, but I lost it and I still wanted to leave a little feedback onmy experiences so far.

I received my 7 Pro on 24 May and it came with 50% battery percentage so after setting it all up I decided to charge it to 100% before actually using it and downloading some of my favourite apps I wanted to have back on my phone (Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and TV Time)

Today, May 26th, it finally ran out of battery for the very first time. I decided to wait until it shut down at 0% to plug it in so I can charge it for a full cycle. On the screenshot it can be seen it has been 42 hours since the last charge with a little less than 9 hours of screen time.

Since I'm more or less a regular user (so far I did a lot of exploring with settings and the camera's next to dowloading my apps and scrolling through my social media and news feeds), I'm rather satisfied with the battery life (but then again, I come from a Huawei phone that needed charging every night so to have used a phone for nearly 48 hours without a charge really feels like an eternity to me...), but of course it's always great if it could be improved for anyone who's not really happy with their battery life.

I did pick up on a few tips and tricks I saw here and there by changing my theme to the dark one instead of the standard light one. I turned sound notifications off and Bluetooth turned off as well since I never really use it. At 15% I think the phone suggested battery saving mode which I accepted. It still let me use all my apps, so I didn't mind it being active, but I also went asleep at that moment... I went to sleep with 15% and this morning it was at 13% so there's a little drainage, but not to say so much I lost half my volume overnight. I didn't really change the 90Hz/60Hz setting because once familiar with the smoothness of 90, the 60 feels kind of blehh haha

Now I'm just curious about that story I read in the old thread about the phone and battery adapting to the user (and the user adapting to the phone) since in some cases, it's said to have improved...

When I woke up during the night and started using my phone, my battery was between around 13 to 16% and then drained to 0% within around 2 minutes. Battery saver was turned on and I was only using Google chrome. Screen brightness was set to lowest possible level. Any advice/suggestions/insights?

This was during my third or fourth full charging cycle.

i feel the Battery life im getting is pretty bad.
location on is always using the gps. android 9 doesn't have a way to switch between modes, network location and whe. you need the GPS turn it on.

the brightness values are too high. i notice that even though the brightness is on manual, i keeps changing the value i have in there

    those two eat away

Yes and he uses his phone far more than the average person. Remember than a 90 hertz refresh rate high resolution phone is going to eat up a lot of battery. There are many tweaks you can make to stretch this time and don't forget that the charger can popup a large amount of battery power in a short period of time. I always carry a power bank regardless of which smartphone I've carried now or in the past. You never know when you might be in a situation without power for a while.

Actually I feel, I am not getting the back up with my OnePlus 7 Pro.....
At standard condition what should be the battery back up time, screen on time.....

I am getting around 4 to 5 hours screen on time.....
Is it for all one plus 7 Pro or something wrong in my device.....
    Pls share your view

On the first few charge cycle, the phone worked great, 5.5 hrs SOT with a lot of gameplay which really impressed me. Then my 7 Pro started to lose around 20% battery every night and the standby time was very poor somehow, couldn't find the issue looking at the battery usage, I reset the phone today but I don't think it solved the issue completely.

The battery is good but not what I was expecting. The battery life or the fast charge - still good, but just not lasting as I was expecting.

Phone can be a little bit warm but it takes some harsh conditions. Battery is overall ok for me. i dont want to deplete it because im keeping battery above 50% to increase its lifespan :)

So its been two cycles almost since my last post here.
After latest stable update, i did a complete flash through local upgrade and not just ota, after that wiped cache (though its unnecessary), and callibrated battery through 0-100 procedure, and this is how it stands now. Primary usage lte, location and other useless stuff off, and dark mode everything. Qhd+ and 90hz.
