does it have mechanical parts ? No. In order to fit more parts you need space..so hopefully now you can understand. Also consider the price difference between the two phones. 3. it is just 4100mAh not something like 5000 mAh

I knew you would bring K20 pro in the discussion..but please note that brand value/after sales support matter a lot. Also note that they have cut some corners + the ads on MIUI.

FYI - K20 Pro also have 4000mAH battery as it is also having mechanical parts :)

You say that the K20 Pro is a good phone and value for money, I will be the first one to agree. But, do not compare it with the OnePlus 7 pro.

It is necessary to understand the ideology behind a product. OnePlus is a premium brand it gets you flagship features at not-soflagship prices.
It is impossible to compare Oxygen OS to MIUI, I honestly cannot use MIUI.

Another important thing to note is that the 2 phones are meant for 2 different kinds of users.
The K20Pro is not an industry first, Redmi has always anxiously waited for OnePlus to launch their phones and then it comes out with its cheap marketing game.
It's not striving for innovation it is trying to be OnePlus, if that is what they want then I want to be a frontrunner.

Did Redmi do something mind-blowing? Nope.
Does it have an industry first 90 Hz display? Nope.
Does it have bloat free software experience, that the tech world loves? Nope.
A OnePlus user will buy a OnePlus and a Xioami user will buy a Xioami

Albeit it's the most expensive OnePlus yet but it still is cheaper than what the big boys offer.
I would like if OnePlus priced their phones below 45k but let's be real I don't need a 90HZ display, I'm totally happy with the OnePlus 7 - the same uncompromised phone with top of the line specs and it is worth every penny.

    Do the math!

Hey guys, I just registered because I can almost watch the percentages fall and found this thread. I'm not doing anything because I'm working, but my phone drained from 100% to 16% at this very moment almost by itself. SOC is below 2 hours. Dunno if I'm doing something wrong - got this phone for 2 days now. Ah btw, 60hz and FHD+, NFC off, location off, wifi off, BT active. Edit: after reading a bit more, I gotta chill more. Hope this... settles..

I suggest that Oneplus should hide the 60Hz option to Developer Options. The 90Hz looks so good and you don't want any normal user to miss it. I would say it would be a pity for a normal user to switch to 60Hz and forget to change it back...

I have been heavily using OP7 PRO since it released with 90Hz. The battery is very reasonable especially with the 30w wrap charger. I don't have any low-battery anxiety with this.

If you are a power user, you could always make a switch to 60Hz in Developer Options.

Eventually, the adaptive refresh rate option should be the way to go. Wait and see.

My OnePlus 7 Pro arrived today however as New Zealand isn't a supported country by OnePlus the retailers here (got mine from PB Tech) parallel import the phone.

Due to this the original Warp Charge 30 plug is a UK standard fitting not New Zealand. The retailers therefore pack a New Zealand plug which is the NZ standard fitting.

I added the specs written on each charger in the imgur album linked above. Will the NZ Oppo charger be charging my OP7 Pro to the maximum Warp Charge 30 capable speed?

If no, can I achieve the maximum Warp Charge 30 speeds in anyway e.g using an adapter on the UK plug or will the adapter slow down charging speeds/melt under the current draw?

    Thank you!
