My OP1 must have known I was looking at the OP7P, it started doing strange things 2 days ago, like THIS! Hard to beat this battery life.

Yep. Thankfully there are options to dial back to 60hz and 1080p for those who need to squeeze as much battery out as possible

People should leave feedback to one plus to act on improving battery life via a software update... I shall be doing. When we pay so much money for the one plus 7 Pro.

I agree with this post and people need to complain to one plus to add a software update to help improve

I'm getting 5-6 hours SOT after 14 hours off the charger with 90hz / 1440p enabled and moderate usage.

In what world is that bad?

Yep yep. Other lab reviewers are getting even better. I'll be doing 1080/60 vs 1440/90 battery tests as part of my review, as well

I guess a software update will bring something like "touch-boost". E.g. the Screen is operating at 60 hz and when you touch to scroll the screen is set to 90 hz (for the next 5 seconds). That would improve battery life a lot (I guess).

Battery drain during normal use of driver. Battery drains heavily compared to older versions of OnePlus devices.

I would like to add a point, the phone holds good battery while playing heavy games like PUBG and COD in full graphics which means the gaming optimisation is extremely good. By this I mean it is really good while gaming mode is on.

But during general course of use it is less optimized. This must be improved allover to make the battery upto the mark for a days use.

Done it already but want to discuss it further with you guys to check whether it is an exception or a potential fault in software optimisation.

The more people who feedback this issue the better chance one plus software team will look into this

This issue thread was non existing in the community. So just want to highlight it to people to provide more feedback to OnePlus so that the software optimisation improves.
