OnePlus 7 Pro battery/heating feedback thread

Oneplus 7 Pro gets too hot even for just gaming a few minutes to a near hour.. I think the issue was the changes made to Oxygen OS because my Oneplus 6T ALSO GETS TOO HOT now using the last few Beta updates, which was not the case in the past (I am certain).. Also a few updates ago made the 6T show the "Phone is getting too hot" message, which DID NOT HAPPEN BEFORE, so definitely something is up.

Also, all background apps have been controlled too (literally restricted every single one and already on force stop)... Still the same, gets too hot.

Even if you factory reset the device, it's still the same, so I definitely think it's the changes they made to Oxygen OS. Compare it to other Snapdragon 855 devices and you'll see that OP heats up more now even with the cooling system.

The Games that I've been playing before that produced minimal heat even in hours of gameplay are now producing too much heat in just a few minutes... This is unacceptable.

Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon, users can help in reporting and testing.

Certainly do all the troubleshooting you can, because my OnePlus 7 Pro has amazing cooling since the day I bought it. I'm on 9.5.11 though.

heating problem is more while playing games I don't expect this thing from OnePlus why because IAM a iPhone x user while gaming iPhone heating is more that's why I exchanged mobile to OnePlus 7 pro but the same issue comes here again

Google Play Services is causing some heavy drain of some reason. In can be triggered by so many things...

Google "Fix Google play services battery drain" or similar to find a few guides on what to check.

All troubleshooting has been made, still overheats quite quickly for many games running 60 fps.. I'm quite sure it's with Oxygen OS, because even the previous Oneplus 6T suddenly have this issue, while in the past the 6T has been really cool, even for games that are tested now that's heating up which never heat up in the fast

Need Help!!!! I recently bought a OP7 PRO and it's a fantastic phone, the only down side I'm experiencing is the battery life... it appears to be draining extremely fast when I'm not using it, idle draining during the day and over night. I've tried restricting certain apps and trying different settings with no luck.

Rebooting and factory reset worked a treat... for 24 hours! but after that the problem came back... I shouldnt be rebooting my phone every couple days just to maintain decent battery.

Does anyone have the same problem? And does anyone know of any suggestions? thanks

type in scanning in the settings search bar. it should give you a screen like the one below. you can use the 3rd though 5th options to change those features.

    Hi Guys,

I have OnePlus 7 Pro and I have started facing heating issues lately. An hour of PUBG and the phone starts heating up and dropping frames.

I want to know if anyone else is also facing this issue? Is there a fix for it? I also want to know if anyone feels that the screen is not smooth to the touch (specifically I experience it while playing PUBG).

    Hoping to get some answers.

    Thank you,

Good afternoon. Version of phone number 1910. Noticed very strong heating. in the beginning the camera and then and the display heated up at normal phone call in 15 minutes. In 26 minutes of a conversation phone went to protection. It was succeeded to include it only in 5 minutes. Temperature of the device was about 50 Celsius degrees. From applications at this moment only 3 pieces worked. VK, Yandex browser, whatsapp. Screen of 40% brightness (autobrightness), 90 Gz, 2k. Still noticed strong heating at a conversation in whatsapp according to video and photographings. Who can prompt what is the matter?
