This is my second 7 pro, traded the first in on a warranty for the same issue but I don't think it's the phone anymore. Current phone has been in use for several days and the standby battery life is awful.

2 hours unplugged from full charge, 19 minutes of screen time and it's dropped to 70% battery. Android system battery usage seems very high, and I can barely make it to lunchtime at work. Any advice is appreciated. Phone is running Oxygen OS 9.5.10.GM31CB Screenshot_20190925-080024.jpg Screenshot_20190925-080018.jpg Screenshot_20190925-080007.jpg

the battery is draining heavily in OnePlus 7 Pro after Android 10 update. Not even a half day after a charge and the battery is already 60%. 40% down before half day. Before the update, the battery would last full day stretched to night but now it doesn't seem to.

if you have no results using the search engine
One way to search, is to review the forum, by the model of your phone
One Plus 7 series: you have sticky threads at the top
One plus 7 series has subforums, to see them, select + and choose for example: One plus 7 pro General Support
    Thanks, Best regards, Cervantes

After the Android 10 update I can see that the battery consumption increased a lot (based on my normal usage before and after Android 10 update). Is this many people are facing?

What exactly are you expecting in a macro mode more than what the Pro mode gives you. You get a focus at a distance of about 6-8 cm (same applies to the Standard mode. How close you want to take the phone? Besides there are physical limits of the built in lenses. You would need a special macro lens to get any closer!

In addition to my previous reply...

REAL 960fps super slow motion requires special hardware...

"A native 960fps slow motion mode requires hardware to go with it, namely a camera sensor with embedded DRAM. By attaching super-fast memory to the camera sensor, the phone is able to save all the frames generated by the 960fps mode. Traditional smartphone storage (e.g. UFS 2.1 and eMMC) simply isn’t able to keep up with the sheer number of frames being produced in this mode, making the embedded DRAM an integral part of the process.

What if your phone isn’t using a camera sensor with embedded DRAM? After all, these sensors are in the minority. Then manufacturers generally use software processing/interpolation to deliver 960fps super slow motion, adding duplicate frames to a lower frame-rate video in order to give the impression that it’s a smoother, 960fps clip.

The finished product will technically be running at 960fps, but half or more of those frames are simply copies rather than being unique, like in a real 960fps video. It’s akin to motion smoothing modes seen on today’s TVs, duplicating frames to deliver 60fps content....

....however current crop of 48MP camera sensors don’t appear to offer native 960fps capabilities at all."

So there is very likely no 960fps hardware support in the OnePlus 7 Pro. And a software solution is basically a gimmick.

Having said this, 1080p at 240 fps and 720p at 480 fps isn't too bad. If you want to go into slow motion video, get a proper camera.
