if all consumers listen things like this from respective mobile companies . then i think nokia 3310 like phones would again come in the market and the need of smartphones would not arise.... thanks for informational reply..

That's great! I have been able to get about 6-7 hours screen on time and battery reaches 15% from 100%. Can you also update your other settings.. I really expected lot more from the battery of the 7pro.

I am facing a huge battery draining, before the update I used to achieve about 6/7 hours of screen, now I've "lost" over 1.5 hours of screen time, the phone does not go over 5 hours. The battery lasted for two days with some little setting, now it barely last one day.
Fortunately I don't have any overheating problem but the battery one is very annoying because this phone was great in battery life.

That is what my 7 Pro does... Stock kernel on OB2. Nothing special done. Just disabled background scanning on wifi and bluetooth. WiFi, mobile data and location always on at night. Sleep optimization on.
    0.3% messured with BetterBatteryStats.

I have been noticing that whenever my 7pro is downloading any content over Data-on, be it media download or even updating apps... it starts to drain battery very fast. I am never on WiFi.. always on data. And I have seen battery drain 10-12% in a matter of 20 minutes while downloading over data. This surely needs optimization.

Also Google play services eating up 30% of the battery!!!!

I'm not sure this post is entirely relevant here, but I've been having issues with charging speeds. After various trials like putting a timer on while charging, I've gotten terrible speeds.

Following this,I believed it to be an adapter/cable issue and I've tried using Ampere to map out my problem. Here's what i found out, similar results between multiple adapters and cables.

OnePlus 7 Pro Charging Speed( Sped up 4 times) https://imgur.com/gallery/rjT7fJL

My adapter and cable are capable of warp charge speeds, but the current suddenly drops after like half a minute or so. I've had other friends complain about this too, all of us on the Open Betas.

It's maybe a little bit off topic indeed or maybe for some others here it isnt, but I have a little experience with this and would suggest using the original adapter and cable and take my conclusions from that, or at least a charger that specifically will tell you they support Warp Charge, and only the moment you see Warp Charge appear on your screen expect it to actually charge with Warp Charge.

Meeting the specifications in numbers doesn't always mean it will support it. All these brands have their own, a lot of times, patented way to feed their devices. I found this out along the way as well, for instance, I own a few power banks which can do Quick Charge, Fast Charge and something like Power Delivery but not Warp Charge.
And so, my OP7P will charge terribly slow on those power banks (which where my old phone from another brand will charge faster than my OP7P on that same power bank, and there is a big change that if i would use my OP7P charger on that phone it will even charge my old phone slower than the power bank does. Even more so, I own a USB charger with multiple ports and each of them supports different ways of powering devices, my old phone from another brand will have Fast Charge only at one port and my girlfriend owns another brand phone which only charges with Quick Charge on another port. My OP7P however will not really charge quickly on any port on that charger as the charger does not support Warp Charge but it supports like 7 other types of fast/quick charging each used by different brands and different types of devices.

It makes me kinda sad this development, because now we have finally got a cable standard, the ways of feeding devices became a marketing point. Each brand wants to charge their devices in the quickest manner and so they patent their research efforts under a brand name and sometimes license those to other brands and so on.

I have only used the cables/adapters that came with the 7 Pro in the box. Not even official OnePlus store-bought cables or anything. 4 of us friends have the same phone and the same problem. And all of us are on Android 10.

    Hi, I recently bought a OP7 pro.
I am observing that the phone is heating up even with moderate usage and the battery performance is also below average.
I am really thinking if it's some bug or have I got a defective one
