I hope so as it's their main advertised feature and what's the point of buying a screen with a high resolution if you can not use it due extremely poor battery life. It sort of defeats the object.
Good keep us posted
Aww I see why this would help you
I was very nervous about the battery life on Tuesday when I got mine but I'm finding that the more I use it, the better battery life is getting. I think the ram optimization is definitely helping. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and just continue using the phone. it gets better
Just over 3hrs of SoT, with a full charge this morning, hot spot running for about 4hrs, 90Hz refresh, autoswitch resolution, and brightness almost maxed out. And this is just my first day of use.
1) Try putting it on the charger overnight and let it go with no real activity running on it so that Android can get things optimized.
2) Running the hot spot like that may well chew up battery faster.
3) Screen brightness almost max'ed out will definitely affect battery life.
4) Maybe post the detailed usage screen for more clues.
I wasn't complaining; I think the battery life is decent, all things considered. With hotspot going and the brightness that high, I know it's going to eat through the battery. Here's the detailed usage though, in case anyone wants to see it.
Just tested mine yesterday @90 heartz & QHD
Here are results:
(Usage medium to high) (WiFi & Data on)
Will easily power through a typically day but another hour there would have been great will test tomorrow with 60 heartz & FHD.
(I have 150+ apps already pushing notifications & background data, so that's an impressive management for any phone)
you did greate test .its good
One of my first days with the phone
Thank you for sharing
It is stupid to complain about battery life with QHD and 90HZ enabled. It's like buying a Ferrari and complaining about fuel consumption when going around pedal to metal.
On days you think you will need more battery life just set these to lower.
I completely agree. One plus have some serious work to do in the software department.
Should be at least over 3 hours OST for high 90hz and full resolution!
