My issues with the battery started after the latest software update. When fully charged, it would state that I have at least 17 hours of life left. Now it gives me 7 hours of life with nothing being used. This is only in wifi

Update: two days after posting this the battery life returned back to its previous good performance. I'm attaching pictures below of regular usage. With constant usage it will last me a full day and a bit more so this is great. I want to say kudos to the support for teaching out to me regarding the matter. The support for this phone is one of the reasons I'm with this company for close to 4 years.

i am using one plus 7pro and battery of the phone was at 75% by the time I reached to the destination battery drained 43% and reached to 32% where I shut off the data n GPS both in those areas where traffic was heavier.
This never happened with one plus 5.

Battery life is so bad in this phone. I'm getting less than 4 hour SOT in a single charge without gaming or any intensive task. I used to get 8 hours SOT earlier with the same apps. And this shitty solution of wiping the phone doesn't work. It has to do with the software.

I also notice the same problems. I tried with a reset and after a couple of charging cycles the problem is still present. Indicatively I have lost a good 30% of battery since I switched to Android 10

Has anyone here in this thread done the painful factory reset? Sometimes, when it comes to Android, you have to just bite-the-bullet and do what you don't want to do to see if it helps. YMMV

Anyone noticed their battery as degraded severely on the 7 Pro? Like I've had the phone less than a year and it's already reporting the capacity to be around 2000mAh... This is unheard of degradation on a smartphone battery. To check yourself run this command via adb: adb shell dummpsys batterystats > batterystats.txt and search for capacity in the txt mine is reporting:

    Estimated battery capacity: 2195 mAh
Min learned battery capacity: 2195 mAh
Max learned battery capacity: 2195 mAh

Is the OS reporting the capacity wrong or is their an issue with early batch devices? I mean it's a 4000mAh cell so to half it in less than a year it almost sounds impossible... I've also noticed since Android 10 update that the standby and SOT as fallen off a lot I went from 2-3 days usage to one day at best sometimes struggling to hit even 5hrs SOT... If anyone has any insight would be great to hear from you.
