Unless you got the update a month before it released, I highly doubt you got it in February of 2020.

Not trying to debate with you either but your idea of "delayed updates" is a bit delusional. The last update was March 31, 2020 (which we'll probably get a new update come early June) and hasn't reached the 2 month threshold yet.

im oneplus 7pro user, there is lot a heating issue when i charge & when playing games. Especially PUBG, i changed all the graphics to low in game settings, however without back case i cannot hold the mobile. is this a battery problem do i need to do anything with it?

First, don't play when you charge your phone and second clear the cache into the recovery. This will help you

The phone is recently getting too hot while charging. I think OP implemented their fast charging technology into adaptor unlike other phones to reduce phone heating and take load off the phone. and weirdly I was using op 6T with Dash Charging and they said 7 PRO has Warp charge which is faster. But from Day 1 i felt 7 Pro took longer to charge from 0 to 100 than 6t.
I know 7 Pro has larger battery (300 mah more) but also claimed faster charging with Warp charge. there should not be that much noticeable difference.
and weired when i connected my 6t dash charger adaptor to charge 7 pro device, my 7 Pro is still warp charing(warp charging displayed on screen). So is this some kind of cheating OP claiming new names and publishing ?.
I am still satisfied with my 6T , but facing many bugs and performance issues in 7 Pro.

my one plus 7 pro was ok until yesterday since 3 months usage. but from yesterday the phone started heating too much while charging and didn't charge fully in 7 8 hrs. still my phone is hot even if I use it for sometime.
I have been using daily for 10 12 hrs continuous during these months but hasn't noticed such a thing..
    it all started yesterday..
    what could be the reason..
is there anything I could do now.
it's very hot that I couldn't hold for long time in my hand without cover.

    when I used a app, it's showing 40°C

How to calibrate: drain the phone to 10-15%, put it on and leave it on the charger for a few hours (100% is when optimization happens) then take it off the charger, use it again till it reaches 10-15% then do it all over again.

this is phones today's battery usage.
in 5 hrs, battery dropped down to 58% from 100 % with 9 min screen usage.

can anyone explain why this happens

I might be able to take a swing at this: you're roaming.

Yes, exactly. Roaming drains more battery as it's struggling to find a stable connection through a partner carrier.

  17. Midhunsebastian , via OnePlus 7 Pro , Jun 1, 2020 :
I could understand that but after full charging I didn't touch my phone and it's drained to 58%. thats too much don't you think.
    anyway I could check it.
also this issue started from day before yesterday only. phone heated up one day while charging and this issue with the battery started

Might I suggest calibrating the battery then. Drain it to 10-15% via normal means, plug it in and leave it there for a few hours after it reaches 100%. Take it off the charger and do it again a few times.
