    Hi all,

I have my new OnePlus 7 Pro since last week and I'm verry happy with it.

I know that One plus will provide update to get a better experience but I have one concern to know If I have to contact the suppor or not

I have noticed that when under a sunny light the black part of the screen turn grey. I try to make some screen cap but the picture show real black.

When I cover the light sensor the black get back.

Do you know if I have a bad hadware of is it normal or is it something that will be fixed ?

It happen on videos too not only on interface parts

    Thank you

    Here are the videos :

this is something that is used to see better under direct sunlight, Nokia did this a couple years back on their Windows Mobile devices, I believe it was called sunlight readability mode.

This is just the phone making it easier for you to see in bright sunlight I think. Nothing to see here

Hmmm. it looks interesting. Report it but it is probably normal and a neat feature for better readability.

Xiaomi have it for quite some time. Question is, is it toggle-able, because it is annoying as hell and not worth using unless you use it in extreme conditions like working as bay watch and always using the screen to read bay-watch things under the sun.

It is not worth reporting. This is part of the screen adjusting to readability.
What you can report is to activate settings to adjust this "feature".

i think the amoled used this dynamic sunlight feature that samsung uses, not sure of the proper name of it but it auto adjust to sunlight, but honestly idk how since i cant spot any of the sensors since its full screen

or you live in Texas.. this feature only enables when it detects a certain amount of light anyways.

Just living in France... enough sun to be activated in the bus The annoying part is that when activated the icons look like blurry around the grey. Have to try it during a movie or TV show

At least OP reads these posts, and most issues get solved over time. Can't wait to get my op7 Pro. Canceled initially and re-ordered. Nebula Blue 12/256. Thought about going through the carrier, but same price and more options buying direct and not having to deal with odd rom cycle ota's. Being locked wasn't an issue since would get an immediate temporary unlock for 30 days, and full unlock after 40 days. Don't planning on switching carriers and have other unlocked devices if needed.
