OnePlus 7 pro boot loop

    jurschel, May 21, 2019 :
Just opened my OnePlus 7 Pro this morning and it is bootlooping through the setup phase. I have eventually gotten it to stay up long enough to get the OS upgrade and then install it. Hopeful that upgrade would fix the problem but it hasn't. I've already done a factory reset etc. Anybody else have this? I can't believe I waited all these years to finally get the new device (coming from a OnePlus One) and I end up with a dud!!!

On with support. 8-10 days to replace it. 2-3 days to "remote flash" it. WTF OnePlus...

Just got off with support. RMA'ing the unit 15 days... this is just total non-sense. I ordered this thing Friday and got it today. But now I have to wait up to 15 days to get a replacement...

Update. If I leave the device flat on the table and don't touch it it will stay on sometimes. Pick it up and try to do to much and it reboots. Is there a way to turn off the accelerometer?

Update - I turned developer mode on and got some logs. Interestingly enough after turning developer mode on things seem to have calmed down...

I also turned off adaptive brightness and extended the sleep time of the phone to 5m before I enabled developer mode.

Turned adaptive brightness back on and put it in another case and it rebooted... So maybe power switch or the adaptive brightness is causing some issues...

Update - Phone doesn't reboot when in bootloader or recovery. Has to be a software issue...

And would you believe that yesterday I noticed everytime I tried to use the crash dump logging to catch this phone crash it wouldn't crash. This morning I enabled the LogKit with this *#800# which keeps the debug log catching running in the background waiting for a crash and the phone isn't crashing. I really need a oneplus bughunter to take notice of this thread and work with me here.

Update based on this crash dump I uninstalled Chrome and another Scanner app and then reinstalled them. Crashes (knock on wood) have subsided! WoopWoop

And crashes are back after charging device back up to around 95%. Was just fine until I played around with duo and then it started crashing once more.
