I have noticed over the past few days that my data seems to have stopped working. I get a little exclamation mark next to the 4g. When I reset the APN to default it works for a while but it gives me very slow speeds and eventually stops working all together giving me the exclamation again?

Spoke to one plus but they were no help?

    Anybody have this problem?

    Thanks

yes. I bought a 3 sim card for my travel and I'm in Italy. doesn't work for shit. same in France. I have no data. Shows signal but I don't get any data for calls texts ... anything. I thought this was just my phone. I was about to exchange it.

Have either of you tried the "Network Reset", and secondarily (I HATE recommending this, BTW, it's NOT my go-to), clearing system-cache (ONLY IF the Network Reset doesn't work)?
The first will reset your entire network stack, including the cell stack, which can clear up some issues like this (and is often enough, no reason to go on to step2).
The 2nd, IME, clears out "stuck DNS/DHCP" entries, and probably some other networking-persisted values, and is my "bailout" a couple of times that I've clearly reached a "bad state of networking cache, that Network Reset will not clear"...

Yeah, that's a bummer, if that's what it is, I guess RMA is the route...

I take it you made 100% sure that the 4G/LTE band/frequencies, used by the other "travel networks" are a crossover, with the OP7 bands/frequencies?
While OP covers a LOT of international deployments, they don't work with all of them...
Having your phone "hop on/off a poor 2G or 3G connection" when it can't establish a good 4G/LTE one, can be similar to what you're describing.

So if I switch the phone to preferred network type 2G/3G the internet starts working again but with no 4G? Also tried my sim in another phone which works fine. Tried another three network sim card in the one plus and thats not working. The next thing would be to try another network simcard in the one plus and see if that works.

Yeah, it could be your SIM, too, depending. I tend to end up with pretty old SIMs, one of my current ones was approaching 3.5 years.
Replacing it recently solved my VoLTE struggles with my carrier, amongst "who knows what else", it was a no-charge deal anyway, given the timing...

It's weird that the other SIM (O2) works fine, that sort of leads you to believe there's something "more going on here".

Have you tried "Network Cell Info Lite", with the problem SIM installed? This will show you up to two towers, a primary and neighboring, with the free-version (Lite).
Make sure to shut it down though, when done testing, or it'll really nuke your battery, in the background...

It seems to be working today? Not sure what caused it over the past few days. I do have an old simcard but the other one I tried was newer and that didn't work? I'll monitor it over the weekend but hopefully it was just a glitch in the matrix.

Thanks for the help from everyone that replied. Much appreciated.

    :)
