so I've been buying OnePlus phone since 2014 when they came out and I've never had a problem with any of the phones. however I bought the OnePlus 7 pro when they had the promotion last month and I received it on the 19th or 20th of December. I haven't had the phone for more than a month now and I'm already experiencing screen issues. I went to sleep normal with my phone charging and woke up the next day and I had a stuck/hot pixel on my far left side of screen and out of nowhere halfway through the day the screen started flickering on the bottom half with a green tint to it, reacting to the stuck/hot pixel. has anybody seen anything like this or know how to fix it? any information will be extremely helpful guys thanks

I'm pretty sure this is a hardware issue. You may need to get it replaced or repaired

(if it persists in all screens and during reboot as Bouncer71 said)...

I also noticed some green symbol to the left upper corner. Some active call or some app adding that?

I've rebooted a couple times as well as rebootjng into safe mode but it's there no matter what, since it started it hasn't gone away even for a split second. I have a video of it but it won't let me post it. also the green call logo was because I had OnePlus support on the line and was seeing what they could do for me. should be getting a call back today

Well then it certainty sounds like a hardware defect if it's also present on boot...

no issue is still persistent. and OnePlus customer support said that because I was 2 days past my "return window" that I would have to pay for a new screen out of pocket... bunch of BS -_-

What have return windows anything to do with warranty? Warranty should still apply right?

Would never have been a problem if it happened for me. I would just turn in the phone and have it repaired or replaced by my carrier (the whole first year). And if it actually turns out to be damaged by a drop or something I can use my insurance to get it replaced by a new phone within 2 days or so.
So in your case warranty does not even exist this close to purchase? Sounds odd to me...

usually ahppens when water gets inside, as a tech im pretty sure that could be it and flickering, , have the phone checked for water damaged, also not cocvered under warranty if it has water damage

    Hi,

I have this problem too. I sent it back to the service, they say it is not under warranty, it would be repaired for more than 200 euros. The phone has a 2-year warranty, the screen error occurred from one moment to the next. The problem was not my fault.
What happened to you?How did it work out for you?
    Thanks in advance.

If it's just the screen going bad with no exterior damage... Warranty.
If it has happened with moisture indicators having turned red... No warranty.

conseguiu resolver? Eu tenho o mesmo problema ... Fiquei me perguntando se a única solução é mudar a tela?
