Also having this issues in the UK with EE on my OP7 Pro, been having it since I updated to 10.0.06.GM27BA. It can be 10-20 times a day some days and other days its absolutely fine. Having it cut out mid way through a call is causing me issues though. Im guessing no news on a fix or acknowledgement of the issues properly yet?

Hello all. I am having the same issue as you all and found a temporary fix. I will describe it in detail now. I am using the OP7T Pro McLaren 5G which is on the T-Mobile US network, but I am using it with Ultra Mobile (a T-Mobile MVNO). I believe all these OP7 devices are experiencing the same issues; thus, I'll chime in here since this is an active thread.

Issue: After turning on the device, the phone operates normally for calls and data. After a period of time, cellular connection terminates but data remains active. Placing a call results in Phone app immediately hanging up.

Temporary Workaround (interim): Disable all Location services / Turn off GPS. Switch Preferred network type to 2G/3G (Automatic) in Settings > Wi-Fi & internet > SIM & network. Calls and data work as expected (Slow speed, no HD Voice).

Let me know if this works for anyone. I am not sure the GPS part is relevant (it was supposed to be resolved for my model in January), but it may be worth a try.

My phone is connected to Cricket Wireless (an AT&T company) and the problem I have is that many times, when I use data, the signal is completely cut for up to 10 seconds. I have submitted that problem to One plus more than 5 times, including sending my log history (since I have saved in my Google Drive service). But the problem is that the signal isuue continues and OnePlus does not tell me anything, nor does it answer me after submitting the logs and recordings of the problem. This is frustating! ...... I can't find any way out!

Ah, yes, then it IS a carrier issue. https://downdetector.com/status/cricket-wireless/

There was a widespread outage among cell carriers that originated from T-Mo that seemed to affect other carriers as well. It's not the phone's fault, it's them.

But, i see that the problem listed in that page is for general issue by others users or outaged is some areas. I dont have problems or signal issues here in my location and the signal is down everytime when i use, for example, if im in a stream app like Netflix or Youtube, and i leave any chapter downloading, and i go to another page....the signal drop up to 10 or 15 seconds...........is frustrating☹️. And continue everytime, again and again and again. i close those apps and the problem minimize.

No one from OP will respond to you. If it's a signal issue, try asking your carrier.

it never has been like that and i dont think the signal carrier changed something in the last months because only oneplus people are complaining, so its clearly OS issue

I agree - this is not a signal issue. I've had it for a couple of months now and it's starting to get really annoying to the point where I might have to switch my phone even though it's not yet a year old.

BTW, also from Austria, also on an MVNO from A1 and my second sim card is a travel sim card which registers itself to a different provider. Both fail at the same time for a like 10 - 45 seconds and then come back automatically. I can literally see the phone service tower and have download rates of 200Mbits until it suddenly drops and then re-connects. It's not related to location either, have had this happening while at home and while traveling...

Same here with A1/Educom in Austria. Loosing connection in certain areas every few minutes/on opening up the browser. Restoring connection takes 10s roughly but still sucks. Didn't have that issue with my oneplus 6. When the connection works, speed of above 100mbit is available. Until it crashes again... Please fix OP!!!

I got a oneplus 7 pro aswell, similar / same issue here.
Sometimes the no reaction / response of the network, like receiving notifications then they come all at onces.
Banking app that I need to retry a transaction confirmation, it does nothing and then suddenly pop pop pop.
seems that sometimes the phone lags at that moment aswell, like it is doing / waiting for something ?

    Just installed the latest update.

I am in the UK, on the Three 4G network, have a OnePlus 7 Pro, and can clearly state this is not a carrier issue. I have another phone (Samsung) and my wife uses an iPhone - both on same carrier and neither have this issue.

The issue represents itself for me by the WiFi AND phone signal AND 4G all dropping frequently for short periods. When I say frequently, this has been happening for months and in recent weeks has seen the issue occur every 5-10 mins. Makes it i.possoble to use the device for anything useful. I have a bunch of devices around my home connected to the wifi which works perfectly on all - except only OP7Pro.

This is hugely disappointing. I bought the OnePlus One back in 2014 and have since purchased the OP2, OPZ, OP3, OP5T, OP6, and now OP7Pro. Talk about brand loyalty... OnePlus is not repaying me with this issue that is clearly long-standing and widespread - but which they have done nothing to resolve. I am now going to sell my OP7Pro and purchase a Google Pixel or Samsung instead. I didn't pay over £600 for a useless hunk of metal.

I think I have found the reason for the problem. My carrier is A1/Educom in Austria. With the app "RTR-Netztest" you can see on which LTE BAND your phone is at the moment (1,2,3, 20 or whatever). Everytime my LTE signal switch from or to LTE BAND 20 i get the disconnection of the cell signal. The problem seems to be the "LTE Band Roaming" (meaning the subfrequences in the LTE signal). Just check with the app "RTR-Netztest" your cell signal when you are expiering the issue.

This would also explain why this problem is so manifold, as other carriers uses other LTE Bands in their network. For example, in my country A1 is using LTE Banbds 20 (800 MHz), 3 (1800) and 7 (2600 MHz). Just check the frequencies of your carrier.

Possible solution would be to exclude the "defect" LTE Band on your phone. I found a thread on XDA which allows to do that with an app. Here is the link. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/lock-bands-root-t4138763

I did not tried the solution. If someone could give feedback it would be great.

Other solution would be to use a firmware which is prior March 2020 (this is when it started- maybe they updated the modem, who knows?).
