Oneplus 7 Pro Navigation Bar Issue

    Naguya , Apr 21, 2021 :
    Greetings,

kinda sad that my first own thread here is a support request but eh first time is first time right?

To my problem. I've looked up for a solution and haven't found any suiting other then rebooting.

My navigation bar goes unresponsive frequently since I updated to 11. I'm using the fixed buttons. My OnePlus is still useable even with a non-function nav bar. No lag or anything. I also should mention the "back" button still partially works. I'm unable to return to homescreen or go through open apps. I can spam the buttons but nothing happens. Holding still brings up Google Assist.

Is there any solution that doesn't involve a factory reset? Am I missing something obvious?

    Best regards

    Update:
Emptied cache and storage of the Launcher. not fixed yet

What if you delete the updates from the launcher?

I wanted to add if you also clear data of the launcher, you need to set up your homescreen again, so first just try to clear cache of the launcher app and reboot.

btw this was your second post on the forums.:)

    Been there done that.

You're right. I meant first thread and not post. I've corrected that. :)

    Too late hahaha...

I've cleared the cache and the storage. It happened again. Anything else I can do? When I swap between navbar options its works for a short time again. I'll add what I've done to first post.

Seems that has done the trick. I'll wait for a bit if it reappears but so far it's gone. :)

    many thanks!

Go to settings/Apps/See all apps. When U get here, hit the 3 dot menu in the top right and select "show system".Go all the way down in the list and look for "One Plus Launcher".Select the launcher and go to the 3dot menu in the top right and select "uninstall updates".Thats it!
