I bought the oneplus 7 pro a few days ago but my notifications are not working like they should. I have disabled all battery optimations and savers. That didnt really help. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Did you upgrade to OxygenOS 9.5.10? I had 0 problems before .10, but .10 totally broke notifications for me.

I'm on OxygenOS 9.5.10 and I'm still having issues with two apps that I always got real-time notifications for.
Now I only get notifications when I open the app.

    Which is no good :(

Yep I did. Im only receiving notifications when I open the app. So maybe this is a software problem and hopefully will get fixed soon.

Well the OnePlus support told me to send them my phone.... again... I've already had a replacement.... This is my first and will be my last OnePlus device. I srsly do not have the time to RMA a device once per month.

No Notifications with Gmail until I unlock the phone. For me, it's the only app that doesn't notify.
For some reason it's a system app and can't be "not optimized". Gmail doesn't show in battery optimization.
If the phone is charging, gmail notification works just fine.

Only app that works for me is instagram. I dont get whatsapp messages or snapchats etc. For me the "do not optimise" didnt work. This is a really weird problem.

I bought a oneplus7 yesterday and most requested notifications are not working. I have turned battery optimization off selected apps. (Gmail does not show up on list of apps because, I read, it's a systems app but when I check on 'about' Gmail it says it is downloaded from App store! )
The phone was bought from John Lewis who charge for technical support! Could anyone advise on how to proceed? Thanks
    Already spent hours on problem.

Can you confirm your Gmail notification is setup like this?
    Settings →Apps & notifications → Gmail →Notificatications
