I'm back from my ban.:D And I've got plenty of fanboy bashing to do.

I'm fascinated at the fact Pete said this screen will cost 3X that of the normal screen used. That pretty much confirms what I've said from the OPO, they have been using junk in their phones.;)

Oh which broken screens are we reffering to, he ones that the OP cheerleaders broke?;)

Do you think OnePlus gets to use the amazing displays used in s8/s9/s10 or are Samsung keeping the best for themselves :p

The Verge article actually says "More importantly, that new display is a big and risky investment for OnePlus, costing triple the usual price of most phone displays, not just those of OnePlus devices."

The current S10 panel is not what is in the S9 and what was in the S9 was not in the S8.
So no, it will be straight out of the reject bin as per usual.:D

I know it isn't the same display on all those S-models, but the S-line has had a bench mark display for years now that comeptition has tried to match... I'm not afraid to say it, the Samsung displays OnePlus use are junk in conparison... But if Pete say 3x the cost of old displays, that has to be a display that comes pretty close to what the S-line use.

Well you just can't tell the truth here. I have said many time the OAP 6's are good phones, but that not good enough.
They have to be the fastest
    The best priced
    The fastest charging
    A premium flagship
    Bug free
    The best software support
    Flagship graded camera
Well none of the above apply in any reality.

But my ban it could be down to

    Biased Mods
    Lying fanboys
Not bigging up Second teir tech.
Glass being a conductive material anywhere in the real world except on this forum.
The P30's hybrid zoom causing a security issue when telescope, binoculars, high powered Zooms lenes have existed for decades in some cases centurys.
It could even be just good old fashioned butthurt.

    Take your pick.;)

He said 3X the cost to pave the way for the price inbound price increase
They already said last year there will be a $200-300 increase on the 5G, with this HYPE leak you can now be sure it's will be closer to $300.

Me? I have mellowed in my old age.
I cancelled my perennial look at a OP, I found one at a price i could stomach.
Carl is gonna want someone's butt for costing him a glass of champagne.

not double , but many standards.
    and biased too.
they are all hands in gloves with each other.
one time I wrote in a thread and 3 mods swooped down together to hand me 1 warning each, and they were very busy deleting my post as it was directed at OnePlus.
id like to see these people writing in the op6/6T ota update thread.
    you won't find them there.

Agreed I don't feel proud about a phone, I just feel a few hundred pounds lighter.
£750+ more so if one purchased the OP7 Pro.

just posted pic to let you know, the biased attitude of the mods, whoever he/she maybe.
that's why this thread will never be closed inspite of reporting.
and they will always find a reason to ban anyone they don't like or write against OnePlus.
that has always been the trend in this forum

A couple more of information. Still about the doubts if the OnePlus 7 Pro was going to have a model without the 5G modem, I believe this pretty much confirms it will.

And about the price of the Pro model, this site (Gizmochina) writes this "OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau has hinted that it could be priced around 5,000 Yuan (~$745)" because of this "On Weibo, a user asked whether 5,000 Yuan would be enough to buy the OnePlus 7 Pro. In reply (shown in second image), Lau responded by saying that it would be just enough".

Prices of the OnePlus 7 Pro:
    • 6+128GB: € ??? (Unknown ATM)
    • 8+256GB: € 749/759
    • 12+256GB: € 819/829
Colours: Mirror Grey, Almond, Nebula Blue

    Source

"We can reveal that the OnePlus 7 Pro will retail for €749 for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There will also be a model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage that will debut at €819. There will be a €10 difference in pricing between various markets in Europe, but the €749/€819 figure is what OnePlus is targeting for its Pro model.

There will also be a base 6GB/128GB version of the OnePlus 7 Pro, but we were unable to ascertain the pricing of that particular model. Based on the markup between the 8GB and 12GB editions, it's possible the 6GB version will launch at €699."
