Since I have Visible, I have held off on updating to OxygenOS 10.0.0 (I have a GM1917 model on the GM21AA channel). Visible now works in OxygenOS 10.0.1.

I have found a method for updating that works without needing a computer.

    What works:
    Root with Magisk 20.0
TWRP installer zip (use only in TWRP) with unofficial 3.3.1-70
    Swift Installer theme engine

Instructions for update if you're updating from Pie:
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKING ANY DEVICE, THIS GUIDE IS JUST FOR THE OnePlus 7 Pro on International firmware (I'm on GM21AA). THIS SHOULD WORK WITH OTHER VARIANTS BUT I CANNOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    PREREQUISITES

    • TWRP is preferred to be already installed
    • Prior rooting preferred
    • You must download above files
    • You must download the full ~2 GB OTA
    • Also have the Magisk uninstaller in case things get messed up

    Steps Part 1
If you already have TWRP skip to "Steps Part 2"

    1. If your bootloader is already unlocked skip to step 5
    2. Download TWRP .img to your computer
    3. Install OnePlus adb and fastboot drivers on your computer
    4. Run "fastboot oem unlock" without quotes
    5. Flash TWRP .img file from computer to slot A with "fastboot flash boot_a path-to-twrp.img"
    6. Flash TWRP .img file from computer to slot B with "fastboot flash boot_b path-to-twrp.img"
    7. Run "fastboot reboot recovery"
    8. If your OTA is on your computer, copy it to /sdcard/ on your OnePlus 7 Pro

    Steps Part 2

    1. flash full OTA VIA TWRP, DO NOT USE SETTINGS APP
    2. flash TWRP installer 3.3.1-70 zip via TWRP
    3. Flash Magisk 20.0
    4. Switch active boot partition
    5. Reboot to TWRP recovery
    6. install Magisk again
    7. reboot to system
IF THERE ARE ISSUES WITH NO SIM CARD SHOWING OR NO CELLULAR CONNECTION
    1. Download the Magisk uninstaller above
    2. Reboot to TWRP
    3. Flash Magisk uninstaller
    4. Reflash Magisk 20.0
    5. Reboot to system

For those of you who are using different devices, the process MAY be similar but I am not 100% sure. If you want to risk it, you can try it.

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a Slot A and a Slot B. If you're in TWRP, it shows the current slot when you press the Reboot button on the home page. When you're there, press the Slot you are not currently on and it will switch the active boot partition on your next boot.

What if I don't have TWRP installed? How do I boot from it because when I do, I get stuck at the "OnePlus Logo Fastboot Mode" page. My BL is unlocked, phone is unlocked but I can't root it because I don't have TWRP.

You just download the TWRP 65 IMG file from here then push this file to /sdcard/ then flash it to install TWRP

    You need TWRP 65 or 70 (I recommend 70)

maybe clear cache, uninstall Magisk zip, then boot without Magisk, see if it works, then go back to TWRP and flash magisk

Hi, I have one more question. you mentioned that after flashing the TWRP we need to switch so when I got there the slot was on A so I switch to B but when I rebooted it stuck on the two dots rotating around the circle.
