So now after many of us traded in our 6T for a 7 pro not even 6 months ago OnePlus has allowed TMobile to pull it off the shelves in favor of the 7T. Does this mean we will not be getting any more updates for it from T-Mobile?

They didn't allow anything as T-Mobile will have a limited stock and OnePlus only manufacturers one phone at a time apparently.

Not sure how long TMobile provides updates, but just because they stopped selling a phone doesn't mean the updates will stop. My guess it will be updated for another 2 years.

Just because they stop selling a phone doesn't mean the updates stop to. Most OnePlus devices are usually updated for 3 years. We just received 9.5.11 update here recently. Android 10 we'll be here shortly, just have to be patient.

T-mobile now marking OnePlus 7T Pro 5G Mclaren edition. Another Oneplus which won't receive updates but sure will have a big price tag on it.

And "most" people don't keep their phones that long. Especially ones that own a OnePlus (considering our crowd is more tech savvy and techie) I get new phone every year usually.

just every year? I had the 6T and 7 Pro since the day TMobile started selling them. I can't make the investment in the T-Mobile 7T Pro 5G unless they are more focused on their customers.

there's just no way I invest in a 5G phone in year One. there will need to be a lot of statistics and new models released before I spend that kind of money on new technology. plus substantial coverage expansion.

I remember when I got my Galaxy Nexus which was the first 4G LTE phone available on Verizon at the time. battery life was 4 to 5 hours max.

TMobile says it will reach 200 million people in the USA by year end. They didn't say which 200 million. My OP 7 PRO can receive 600 Mhz but I haven't been receiving a better signal. Apparently I'm not in the 200 million.
