Hi there, I have 2 one plus 7 Pro phones. BOTH PNONES have the same issue.

After the update to Android 11 the sound (when in a call) comes out of the bottom speaker!!!

I called OnePlus support on Saturday, they had me reset all phone permissions - Same issue.

Now they want me to send in the phone for a thing they ****** up in the update!!!!

Did anyone try a full factory reset yet to fix this issue?

Thanks for any advise. I loved that phone until that update!!!

I have the T-Mobile variant with the same issue.
We have a thread on their forums here: https://community.t-mobile.com/android-9/oneplus-7-pro-android-11-and-speaker-35586
It was discovered that if the mute switch on the side is set to vibrate before the incoming call rings, the issue is mitigated. Sliding the switch while the phone has already started ringing doesn't do the trick. said:
I suspect they would downgrade the phone if you sent it in. There was someone on reddit who claimed OnePlus support remoted into their machine to downgrade their phone for them. I'm dubious about that though.
The only alternative, beyond waiting for a new patch to fix the issue to be released (11.0.2 supposedly greatly reduces the occurrence), I keep my bluetooth headset with me.

I just did a full factory reset tonight and the issue remains. I am furious. This is a sick joke. A phone that cant be a phone.

Same problem with my phone. First the selfie camera stopped and now this.
I am frustrated and will never suggest or buy one plus ever again.

I discovered that turning on "Hearing Aid Compatibility" in Settings → System → Accessibility works around this issue.

I did a test with my phone that is also having the same problem it turns out if the other person calling phone is on speakerphone or is connected to Bluetooth it forces the OnePlus 7 pro phone to be on speakerphone.
If their phone is not on speakerphone and they're using it like a normal phone with their earpiece to their head then the OnePlus 7 pro phone will act fine

I am having the same issue. I will try the Hearing Aid workaround, but I would like to see something permanent done in the next update.

This workaround sorts works. But problem then is while in hearing aid mode the default volume is super loud. And that cannot be adjusted, as far as I know.
