Yes, I called OP and the support tech asked their engineers if Netflix and other premium streaming sites are supported by the OP 7 pro. The answer is no, not yet, but OP engineers are working on it due to customer requests.
I sure hope they resolve this issue soon, as streaming via cable is one reason I upgraded from the OP 6.

This is big deal for us too. We have a cabin without WiFi and stream via our phone with a wired connection. My wife upgraded to the OP 7 pro as a beta tester. I still have a Samsung S8 and won't upgrade until this is fixed. Sounds like it will be just a question of when. Thanks for your insight.

I used usb c to hdmi converter to connect op7 pro to tv. Works beautiful

which converter are you using? does it have a charge port? I have two different ones I used with a Samsung S8 and the mirroring goes away as soon as I try to stream video

Don't you guys have any issues with the resolution? For me it seems odd (like my OnePlus 7 Pro is sending greater resolution than my TV is using)

Mine doesn't. It can send and receive power through my OTG hub, but no data. Not even USB drives.

Can you provide a link to the second one ? The one with both HDMI and USB 3.0 hub . I bought a HooToo branded one with passthrough charging , HDMI , Ethernet and USB hub but apart from HDMI output nothing else works .

Same problem here. I tried already 2 adapters (with HDCP 2.2 and without). They both streaming well the picture but google movie, sky ticket and netflix do not work. I hope there are no hardware issues (need for a hdcp - chip or something).

Hope the oneplus team can fix this.

I upgradet from op6 just for this feature.

I also have the same issue. Content playing on Netflix is not being displayed on the secondary screen (only sound) when I connect my phone through USB-C to HDMI or even USB-C to USB-C (monitor). My monitor is HDCP 2.2 compatible and I believe Oneplus 7 Pro is also HDCP 2.2 compliant. I'm going to test with different cables and adapter, I believe they also need to be HDCP 2.2 compliant.

These phones won't play content from Netflix, or other premium providers, over hdmi until OnePlus engineers manage to work their magic to rectify the situation.
According to OnePlus tech support, OnePlus engineers are currently working to allow the new phones to play premium content.
Hopefully OnePlus will fix this sooner, rather than later.

It is a new connection mode for oneplus, I hope it will improve as Samsung, with its "Dex" technology and to make our oneplus on a PC
