Oneplus 7 touch issues

    Wow, that is completely weird. So for you it happens without touching the metal frame of the phone at all? What phone model do you have? Can you please post a video of the issue (using the built-in screen recorder)?

    yes it happens with the preshiped case. I have got the GM1903 + Android 10 beta 1..
    how can I upload a video size limit is 2mb...

    Ok I'm very sry I have must touched the charger port through the case while gaming. Thought I haven't touched the metal frame big sry :(

    We are not 100% sure, either. Theoretically, they could fix it by tweaking the digitizer code, same as they did with the Pro.

    It's like the oneplus 7 is a forgotten device.
    I have a oneplus 7 device (Denmark - EU) does the same. Have it in a Spigen case right now. But to bulky. Ordered the nillkin frosted case instead.
    If i touch the charger port while still in a case, the phone will react on this also (periodically) .

    I have contacted OnePlus the offered me a reperatur. is there anyone who is not effected from this? maybe it's a problem with only some hardware types...

    Good afternoon,

    I’ve just loaded the Service Request of my OP profile to check the status of the repair and found this...:

    The timings are clearly bugged, UPS notified me 2 days ago that the package was delivered and the repair time makes no sense...

    I wrote to OP Support about this because I also didn’t receive any notifications about it and seems like my device has been shipped back…

    I've received an answer. The repair it's done and the next step is verify, once I receive the device, that the problem is solved. No more answers and no info about the issue... Smells like software issue...

    Good afternoon,

    Yesterday I recieved the device as expected. Within the package, there was a report stating the following:

    As I thought, a software issue regarding an update was detected. The update was done. Since receiving the phone yesterday, I have been testing it to check if the issue is gone. At first, it looked as if it was working properly but this morning, while I was playing Brawl Starts, lots of "ghost touches" appeared (even more than before being repaired).

    Right after that, I contacted the OnePlus team to tell them that the issue had not been solved. I'm waiting on their response.

    I'm saddened to be the bearer of bad news but that's how things are. The ghost touch, even though it comes and goes, it's still there.

    Thank you for your feedback. Since the beginning i highly doubted that its a Software issue. Have you had the newest Firmware when you sent in the phone? I had 9.5.8 till today i have sent it in. I really hope they will not just only flash the software once again.

    i work at a store where we sell oneplus (official resellers, belsimpel) our demo models also have this problem. but nobody came back with this problem....
