    LaureanoJav , Jan 4, 2020 :
    Hi, I'm having problems when hearing messages in whatsapp. The volume goes down all of a sudden or simply stops reproducing. I'm pretty sure it's just a configuration stuff, some sort of noise cancellation that I'm DUMB enough to not know how to solve ir. If anyone knows what settings should I apply in order to not face this issue, or if I have to check sthg in order to see if it's a software or hardware issue, I'm all ears (well eyes in this case). So any help will be more than welcome! thanks in advance!

    Nobody knows what might cause this issue? more than probably it's me not using it correctly or I have to tweak some settings, but I'll appreciate some help fellas!

    Which OOS version do you have? Are you using the official WhatsApp app or a different one? How are you listening the audio messages, through the loud speakers or putting your phone in your ear?

    It's a major issue, only with OnePlus? I don't recall having this issue with the OP6...how is it that not even one reviewer talks about this?

    Laureano, you are NOT DUMB. This is, as of this moment, the Biggest Bug (or Software Failure) in some Oneplus Devices (Like the 7 Model). A lot of users are having exactly the same Problem. An UPDATE via OTA (Over the Air) will fix this, but, months have passed, and ONEPLUS haven't fixed the Problem. So, the Solution will be to WAIT for an Update that fixes this problem, or change the Phone to another brand. :)

    guys relax. I too was facing this problem ever since bought this device. Just a day ago I was planning to replace it with note10 and then all of a sudden I came up with the fix.

    I don't know who came up with the proximity sensor excuse but that was lame.

    Answer to this problem is so simple that like of a magic trick once revealed, one admits being dumb

    Funny, OnePlus not publishing my reply + they just deleted a thread where I posted the solution.

    It seems either they want to take the credit by themselves or don't want people to find the solution ever so they can purchase a new phone instead just like what Samsung did in the past... tsk tsk

    Ok, what's the issue about, sound? where is it coming from? yes, speakers. So go into Settings ; Sound & Vibration ; Dolby Atmos ;

    Now select Music instead of Dynamic and bingo!

    OnePlus7 came with "Dynamic" as default sound option and was meant to optimize (+/-) the sound automatically for a better experience, unfortunately the experience turned out to be alot bad to the tune of not hearing at all, lol.

    I hope this solution will help you all and will save OnePlus from loosing it's customers for which they owe me a formal thank you letter at least.

    I tried and it didn't make any difference. Same issue as before, audios still stopping occasionally.
