Hi, is Canada ever going to get the OnePlus 7? I was looking to buy it for my wife since the OP7P would be too big for her. Please advise since my only other 2 options would be to purchase the OP6T or purchase at my obvious extra cost the OP7 from another country or off a third party.

    Thanks!

No , the 7 will not be "officially" available for North America.

Why extra cost. I got the op7 for less than OP want for the 6t. 8gb ram 256gb storage for $720 all in. Phone, shipping by dhl and customs taxes. That was on pre order, it's available cheaper now just look around. It doesn't have bands 66 or 71 though, but it does have all the major ones.

    Because of the extra shipping,

So it should work on Telus bands then AFAIK

Yes. All the major ones and their bigger subsidiaries like Koodo, Fido etc. Missing Freedoms band 66.

I bought my OP7 a few days ago from Swiftronics. Paid $720 out the door when I went in-store to their North York location. It came with the Oxygen OS pre installed. Chinese version GM1900.

Great device so far. Running the Google camera on it too. Only issue I am having is that I am getting slower than normal LTE speeds on it (Bell Mobility). Has all the bands needed but unsure why I am getting 30-60mb/s when I usually get 3-4 times that on my Pixel 2XL.

You tell me, the OP6 I currently have runs at 50 mBs on Telus LTE.. I'm guessing it might have to do with the device not being sold by the company and not SIM locked?

Anyway thanks all for the answers!

I was in a new location yesterday and got 220mb/s (lte band 7). Do the device can do it, but what I am seeing is that the reception signal strength is weaker than my Pixel.

They remove 66 from 7? OP5, and OP6T have it.

Because the OP 7 is not official sold for North America so band 66 is not necessary for Oneplus to activate it for this specific phone.
