I think OnePlus should ask the community how they prefer OP7 design. If community wants Teardrop notch, a slider or a hole for the camera.

the OP7 design will already be set. designs will be finalised well in advance to ensure production timescales can be met.

it's nice to have for it is reminiscent of the phones of the early 2000's. The only issue with sliding mechanism is that it lessens phone's durability and longevity compared to those without moving parts.

every phone can break, glass, wear and tear.. and if the slider is done right it will last for a good time...

phones back in the day were made to last and my first phone I bought with my own money had a bad center button but still worked sort of. It cost me £99 and was the Motorola L7 Slvr red

agree with you on that. my only point is that phones with moving parts ARE MORE PRONE to easily break compared to those made out of a single block and without any moving parts

    Sliding has many disadvantages.
    1) size of phone increases
    2) if we reduce size then battery is compromised
    3) it is NOT attractive
    4) it is not long lasting. Not at all durable
    5) if its motorized then it may cause problems in future. If its manual then we'll have to put effort to slide and open camera
    6)It will be expensive

Wheras punch hole camera wont bother after a certain time. it's better for long term usage.

If it's between the slider or the Hole-punch, I'd go with the hole punch. But if they could put the camera under the display that would be really nice

I dont really see a difference between the hole-punch and a dewdrop-notch. Both are cutouts of the display.
I prefer it though, compared to a slider, because of the mechanical movement. It is always a weak spot for durability.

and PLEASE bring back the headphone jack!

they do tend to surprise the community with crazy features, for all we know they may have the selfie camera embedded in the display screen, out of view of an average human eye. anything is a possibility with OP.
