To check for you wether the phone is charging properly, dial *#808#, go to device debugging, the click the fast charge test, give it a few seconds to see if it passes or not and a screenshot will be nice, if you could post that here. Or do say if it switches between charging speeds and no charging as well. Thanks

That's strange in that case I really can't say if it was always like that for you, unless the Chinese variant comes with different firmware thats more akin to 9.5.7. I do hope a bug hunter makes use of logs I've taken though, but none have asked for any yet.

Yeah, it's not registering the warp charger for you, otherwise in the charger section it would say charger 5V (6A). Here is what it should more or less look like when mine randomly worked for a few minutes. Does yours just stay like that and not keep switching then?

For me it only happened after 9.5.7, before that it was 100% fine as the phone never vibrated like crazy like it does now when it changes charge state.

Is this a hardware error or is it because of the update?

I believe it's the update but I'm not an avid software engineer or anything so basically take what I say with a grain of salt. But OP have locked downgrading so I can't check that without a custom recovery and I don't have another warp charger to test either. That's why I'd like someone to look at the logs I've got and say if it is hardware or software but I guess I have to hang on for that.

I've got an update guys, I plugged my phone in for the first time today and it warped charged solidly for about 1 minute and passed the test (screen rec here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-NfUqEDHitApVCwqZKB_5loqUiLTPCtZ/view?usp=drivesdk)

Then after that it stopped charging then it's stayed on regular charging , yet the phone on the lock screen and icon area say it's warp charging even though it won't go over 1amp charging (screen rec:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-OlUnHmmfFW-llmWJKwScVU60kM55eSA/view?usp=drivesdk) and it's still like that now.

I think this might also be why people are complaining about the warp charge speed of the device as the 1st time you plug it in the phone claims it's warp charging but only at 1amp instead of 6, 5, or 4 amps. Then (I'll test this again) if you unplug it and plug it in again that's when it visibly and vibrates when the charging states change. However this still doesn't really help to tell if it's a hardware or software issue.

Further info, I unplugged and plugged my phone back in and that then presented the exact issue I'm having and not displaying that the phone is warp charging (screen rec: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-OordsWW_3-Ra4hmYtozCDJvS7mcQtpm/view?usp=drivesdk)

Thats good to hear (in a funny way) which edges this closer to it being a software problem hopefully.

I would imagine the phone and chargers have safety measures in place so that wouldn't happen, but with the amount of problems people seem to have for this phone I wouldn't take away that option.

I have messaged a bug hunter that sent me a message about another problem that had already been solved so I hope that it gets read.

Another update guys, a bug hunter got back to me early this morning and said:

We have reproduced the problem and it was related to gms of google.
We have reported this issue to google.
Please help to feed back this issue to google if you know how to do that.

What I got from this is that the Google mobile services are somehow messing with the charging after the update? I'm not the quite sure how that's possible but I trust this guys answer more than my own ^_^
