Oneplus 7pro warp charge not working

Hmmm I cant really help you there but do try checking what charger is plugged in in the charging test by dialing *#808# and if it recognises the warp charger differently than it should.

It depends on the % of your battery for instance from my observation it will hit 5000 mA until it reaches around 50-60% then it will drop to 4000 mA and it'll drop even further when you reach 80-90%. Around 80% it's around 1200-1500 mA.

It was going fine until 80% but after it reached the mark.. the current drastically dropoed to 1.3amp.. can anyone say why is it so??..

yes Dash charge and Warp charge does that as a safety measure to preserve the battery, once it gets around 80ish% it the current drops down to "normal charge" speed while still maintaining the "Ward Charge" or "Charging Rapidly" on your standby screen.

my warp charger is really not upto the mark ,, when compared to the charging videos in utube that I have seen.. the phone charges within 1hr 5mins (max) in those videos.. my device takes about 1hr 30 mins.. this is the consistent results I got after checking it for 5 times and also by switching off the phone during charging..

I am also having the same issue and i have 2 OP7 pro.The issue is that when i charge, for the 1st 1 minute i will charge in 5 amps.and then go back to 3.5 amps....when i unplug n replug it will again go back to 5 amps and goes down to 3.5 amps in 1 minute...

Heyy bro so what should we do now? Everyone who is facing this issue should get a replacement? And what's the cause of this issue? Is it a manufacturer fault or something else?

I also see the same behaviour with my device. But what I have noticed is when I plug in the warp charger the device charges around 5850 mA and the temperature of the phone keeps rising till it reaches somewhere at 43 - 44° C and then the charging speed falls down to 3500 mA as well as the temperature to about 36 - 37° C.
I am wondering if there is upper temperature limit while charging for safety.
Still charging at 3500 mA is pretty fast.

If temperature rise slows down the charger then oneplus has claimed that the device will fast charge even while gaming which then would be a lie bro. Also the warp charge adapter itself has the hardware which oneplus says won't let the device heat and keeo things cool while charging. This is a problem from oneplus and they should fix it. We are not gonna settle for 3500ma when they themselves keep saying never settle[e]1f602[/e]. We need a fix.

    I agree with you [e]1f44d[/e]
Oneplus did claim that their warp charger absorbs heat and doesn't let the phone heat up. Plus the gaming while charging part was also claimed by Oneplus. Hope this is a software limitation which could be fixed in an update and not a hardware one.

After upgrading to 9.5.8, warp charging isn't working at all. I still believe that it's a software problem

Battery charge time gets affected by temperature in several ways. The temperature of the battery is controlled by limiting charge current. The battery gets hotter faster based on ambiant temperature, heat isolation factors due to design of the phone and added cases on it, even screen protectors.
So here comes the next factor. Heat generated by the phone itself. I'm pretty sure that in optimal situations gaming while charging should barely be noticeable. But how often do we use the phone naked and in like 20 C ambiant temperatur? Are we in a darker room or nearly direct sunlight forcing the screen up to max power making it generate even more heat?
While showing what type of charge you have could be a software bug, the actual charge itself is based on hardware monitoring the charge. While some additional software could warn you about high or too low temperatures and giving info about remaining charge time it never (or at least should never) be used to actually controll the charge. Ever heard about software mods that makes the charge time shorter (other than turn the phone into some power saving mode and avoid the usage drain)? That would have made several people homeless or even dead. Just read about all cheap chargeable toys and devices bursting up in flame all due to insufficient charging hardware monitoring (saving some money can cost lives). They even wrote a newspaper article about this here. Those balancing boards with 2 wheels started serveral fires here.
Luckilly phones are built better and rarely explodes unless the batteries are faulty like in Samsung Note 7 (internal short circuit in battery due to manufacturing flaws, possible made even worse by having a to little room left to expand in).

Or I could just keep it simple and say that I'm pretty sure nearly all charge related problems is a hardware based problems, or atleast I hope it is! [e]1f61c[/e]

My phone doesn't even detect it's connected to a Warp charger
I went to take a nap at midday around 15:00, put my phone to charge as it was around 20% battery left, woke up 2 hours later it was 55% charged.
I´m starting to become extremely disappointed by this phone... first the ghost touches, now this... one has to wonder - what next?

There is a norification? Whats the lock screen say.

    Actual amperage depends on temperature
