Coming from amazing Oneplus 5T, 6T en being onepluser all the way.. i must say that 7T is big fail after first week use.
    1. Battery life is just not good.
    2. Missing pocket mode is just crime to me. I keep on going unwanted places while phone is in the pocket. Accidental call or worst is just going to happened, what is for phone in 2020 just not acceptable. Not to say that is too bad for weak battery.
    3. Size (samsung like length of the device) en weight is just not cool at all. Beside if i wanted to go for Samsung like device i would go for Samsung.
    4. New side swipe for back gesture is just bad bad bad decisions so im back to that stupid menu on the bottom what os again 2-3 years back on time.
    5. Where is amazing adaptive en optimatisation battery??! Is like hier bit really not.

Now how much of this is reason of badly and quick rush done Android 10 en is it gonna with updates get better, that i my question now???
Looks to me that people are complaining like 6 months now and no update fixes battery life or pocket mode en so on.
Maybe is time for a change😶[e]1f625[/e]

Not a super fan of this phone either (for many other reasons) but battery life is amazing in my case. Try to check in settings which app drains the battery, don't make beta updates and use only OTA updates (and not third party update solutions).

I did not analyze this chart very much, but I am also aware I play games a lot and I wake up phone often. The phone usually gets all day without charging which I find a good score. At the end of the day I have to charge the phone anayway so it doesn't really matter for me if it's 12 h or 18 h. Next useful milestone would be to have the phone working for two days in a row without charging which I don't think it's possible when paying games on the phone :D

It's possible that in the past OnePlus phones lived longer on battery. But just as you say screens get bigger and brighter, Android is also more and more inflated with features, also users want phones to be slim and handy. All this probably forces more intense battery drainage.

Generally it seems that OnePlus is just an normal average phone. If you look at the table:

it's seems that the most durable battery comes in mid-range phones bcoz they have just less demanding hardware and less gimmicks.

Anyway I will try to make a day without games ;) just to see if your 16h is something abnormal. But I think it's the best as it gets :(
