It's not a fault, the pictures above are normal variance. It's overdone critic.

If the same electric car with the same battery has the same duration, and in winter they go down equally, then it is technical limitation. But the same electric car, with the same battery, has a different range then it's defect.
    Or not?

No, as everything has a variance, no battery will have the same restrictions on cold Temps, or even the same capacity. Our oled screens also have natural variance on color and quality.

Sort of true, but when instead of 30% less range suddenly cars had 50% less range during the winter that would be a defect

That said if it was a limitation then almost all, if not all in its entirety, would have said issue.

Limitations are quite constant and reproducible which this issue isn't, so it's a defect

OLED screens are hard to make uniform, fine i i g that but then there are some who have screens that are almost entirely purple or green tinted.
If this was a limitation this wouldnt be a relatively new or growing issue, i for one didn't know there was a OLED lottery until this year which is most certainly a stepdown from 3 years ago

OK, I focused on the first picture. I knew about the tint, but that seems to be more software or specific bug. Could be also hardware. You can see when activating DC dimming color changes drastically

Yea there is something weird going on, it doesn't seem to be just hardware

In my case the tinting is definitely weird and even changes patterns depending on the picture being displayed

I had the green tint on both top and bottom of the display, got it replaced within the 10 days replacement window on Amazon. And the new unit has no tint issue. 😅

I not sure if it helps but the unit I have now is manufactured in December 2019 with QC: 001A Date: 2019.12.06. And mine is having a slight green tint on top 20% portion of the screen (as mentioned in https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...led-not-uniform.1122487/page-38#post-21160598) but I've chosen to live with it for now (with DC Dimming On) as I don't think it makes sense to go through hassle of replacements given that the ratio of good screens vs. affecting screens is huge and only a few people who have an eye for it are able to notice it.

I do have extended warranty on the device so in future if OnePlus does agree that this is a real issue and screens would need to be replaced then I'll hit the service store.

I received OnePlus 7T today and display is perfectly fine. All the time in my head was display tint issue before it's arrived, after accidently read about this problem on xda forum and here.

Obviously my is a phone with latest batches OLED panels from Samsung.

    Model HD1900, 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM, silver.
    2019.12.05 manufacturing date.

oxygen 10.0.7 international or European version firmware i guess ...

Slowly but surely, I'm losing confidence in the fact that OnePlus will make another batch 7T's which have this screen issue fixed...It's taking a bit long, and we still have no reaction whatsoever other than that it is the customers problem. In fact, I'll give it until the first week of January, and if this issue is not addressed properly, I'm going for the Mi 9T Pro. Yes, its camera is worse, yes it doesn't have OxygenOS, but it is 200 euro's cheaper. I've waited long enough ;) Too bad, because this was my first experience with OnePlus (after all those years of well received comments), but the complete radio silence (and not listening to the community like they did before the OP5T) is kind of a bummer. Ah well, maybe in 2022 I will check them again to see if it has improved.

Just got mine last week. Noticed it at night and it honestly seems to get worse.

Also someone posted about mura effect which is a legitimate defect in the manufacturing process. I ordered an RMA

    Hey OP,

Can You address somehow this problem and find a way to solve it, or should I start fighting my merchant to get money back.

So strange...back over here, someone has manufactured date of 11 october with Quality Control number 0306N, the same as my Oneplus 7T (which I returned due to green tint), but he has no green tint.
    Some other guys:
    - manufactured date of 29 september and Quality Control number 0302N
    - manufactured date of 6 november and Quality Control number 0305D

Seems that even the QC number does not matter....It's really time for an update on OnePlus side. @David Y. @Crystal Z. when can we expect a new batch of the OP7T without the greentint screen issues?

I almost made up my mind to purchase the 7t.

But really disappointed to see this issue.

So should i go for it? I can purchase it from the store in Delhi.

And what is the best way to check if screen/display is ok?

Best way hmm look at the screen with dc dimming off and reader mode set to be screen more yellowish and use some uniformity test video on youtube or dark mode google apps like gmail background or Spotify. Set brightness range between 0-40 % check it on multiple levels and do it in dark room that's the easiest, quickest way I think and set it up to 90 hz some ppl say that without it screen looks good mine was sh** either way.

I really like the design and 855+ snap and almost everything on 7t but will not buy it again. Screen is a big no go for me I will try zenfone 6 I just wanna buy something without defects and stress and wasting my time. :(
