hello guys so today I went to the service center and got my phone exchanged. Even the service people were surprised to see my screen in such a bad condition. They've updated me saying the r&d team is working for this display issue and soon they'll get to know if it's a hardware issue or a software issue. soon I'll be updating pictures of this new phone to see any tint but as of now this phone is so much better than my last one. And if it's a hardware issue even you guys can get your phones exchanged but if it's a software it'll be fixed in the next ota update.

Then it shouldn't matter much for you. it was visible to me even at high brightness but it was more prominent around 20-30% brightness in my last device.

but it is a problem which is bothered most of the user of 7T. oneplus should give a official statement for this.

I recently purchased OnePlus 7 from Amazon and have the similar issue. Especially visible on Dark Grey backgrounds. Mine is not very bad as only 1/3rd of the top part is light grey while the bottom part is dark grey. That's the only issue. No green or red tint.

Visible only in low brightness in low light. Anyways, i am always too much concerned about displays, so contacted Amazon. They scheduled technician visit. Showed it and he confirmed. Now my new replacement OnePlus 7 is arriving.

If even this has a problem, can i take it to to OnePlus care in Delhi and get it replaced? Because Amazon won't provide any more replacement. They will rather suggest refund.

I have heard it for the first time that OnePlus service centres are replacing phones with new units over this issue.

    One more question...
    1) Do they replace the phone at the same time as of issue confirmation?
    2) Is the new unit sealed box or a refurbished unit?
    3) Who actually provides new unit? Service Centre guys or the Experience Store guys?

the store should replace your device if there's a hardware issue, if at all it is software, you'll just have to wait for the next OTA update. and if they are replacing your phone, it will be a new one. just go to the store if at all you experience problems

So they provided you with a new sealed pack unit? And is it of newer manufacturing date? Also for how many days after purchase is getting one's phone exchanged is allowed?

    1) It takes atleast one day for replacement
    2) They give a brand new unit and unbox it in front of you
    3) Better replace it from service center because engineers there will be able to understand your problem and suggest solution

Planning on getting my 7T today. But afraid of having that greenish tint issue.
Is there a service center in France in case I need to rma the phone?

Got the new device. Again the same uniformity issue. Before it was between top and bottom, now it's between left and right.

I will wait for 2-3 days to take any decision on it. Amazon will no longer offer replacement, they will suggest refund at max. So the only way there is if i go to service centre.

A question btw, do service centre guys check the display when they unbox it there? And what if even the new display has some issue?

are these display issues only present on 'Made in India' devices..?

just going a bit off topic, regarding 'loose alert slider switch issue'.. I spoke to a few European folks who have 'made in China' devices and they say their alert sliders are perfectly rigid and sturdy.

just makes me wonder if some quality control issues are happening in the Noida factory where our Indian oneplus devices are being assembled.

I have had 2 OnePlus 7 till now. No loose keys till now. All rigid and in place perfectly. And displays don't differentiate between regions. Search for "Display Uniformity Issue" and see it come up on iPhones, Samsung, OnePlus, LG and every other brand.

I was asking about OnePlus service centre one.
