I got an update for the gallery app today.
Try updating trough the google appstore and check if your problem is fixed by this updste

A new OnePlus Gallery version 4.0.180 was released 2 days ago. Install it and check if it resolves the issues.

Take backup with the help of oneplus switch app for all the photos and videos. Post taking the backup clear the cache and force stop. Please check and see if the issue is resolved if you loose any of your photos or videos you can always restore from oneplus switch app..

Gallary in my OP 7T is crashing all the time and photos are not loading in the folders .... Taking huge time to load and then it crashes. Troubleshooted all possibilities.

OnePlus software is worst to use now a days and every other day a new issue/ bug comes in the model. This will be my last oneplus fone. And recommend others also to stop buying OP.

Have you cleared the OnePlus Gallery App info Cache and App info Data as well to see if that can help?

Reset the App permissions, it may be that an app or apps or something connected is causing the issue.

Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > see all apps > select three dots > Reset app preferences.
Then reboot.

This will not delete your apps data but you will have to provide permissions for all your Apps again.

Check if this can help.
