    Friends,

This Friday, we’re launching our first-ever nationwide 5G device: the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren. Available in Papaya Orange with 256GB of storage, this ultra-premium flagship will feature a 90 Hz 6.67” Fluid QHD+ display, 4085 mAh battery and Triple Camera. All purchases will come with our fan-favorite Carbon Fiber case. And per our history of collaborating with McLaren, unboxing this device is sure to be an experience itself.

This device will be exclusively available through T-Mobile, with a sweet, sweet offer:

New customers who switch to T-Mobile can get the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren for FREE when they trade in an eligible phone. Existing customers can get up to $300 off the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren.

Order the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren today at www.t-mobile.com/devices/5g-phones. Devices will also be available at T-Mobile stores on December 6.

The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren device will be able to leverage T-Mobile's 600 MHz 5G network where available and their advanced nationwide LTE network elsewhere. To celebrate this historic moment, we’ll have an online activation to celebrate all of the 5G pioneers in our community this Friday. Stay tuned!

Note: Across T-Mobile's 5400 stores, most should have stock in-store. In case your local store does not, you can order online in-store with assistance from a salesperson or from the comfort of your own home via T-Mobile.com.

So why is it that when O+ and TMO get together they nix 1 of 2 SIM card slots? I currently passed on the 6t McLaren for that exact reason. Looks like I will be passing on this year's McLaren as well, 5G or not. Until you bring the 2nd sim card slot to TMO, I'm OUT! I feel OnePlus is becoming way to mainstream and liked them better when they were Scrappy looking in from the outside. Stop watering down what the people want, and start watering down what the big corps want. I think I'll start looking for the next up and coming underdog smartphone manufacturer.

    So riddle me this.

There are two “flavors” of 5G network implementations — Stand-Alone, where everything is done on the mmWave bandwidth (for true 5G throughput) and Non-Stand-Alone, which uses a combination of 4G LTE and 5G bands. Now NSA is still faster than 4G LTE, but not as fast as true 5G.

So is this an NSA or SA phone?

Never mind: “On Friday, T-Mobile will begin selling the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition for $899.99 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G for $1299.99. Both are capable of connecting to its 600MHz 5G network, and all T-Mobile and Metro plans include 5G access. The phones do not support mmWave.” From The Verge (https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/2/20991566/tmobile-nationwide-5g-600mhz-launch-samsung-oneplus)

What? T-Mobile never had the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, it was only available Unlocked from OnePlus.com. I know because I have a McLaren Edition 6T and it has dual SIM support.

My bad. The 6T is what TMO pushed. Still with only 1 sim.

I saw on XDA that people bought a dual SIM tray, popped it in their T-Mobile OnePlus 6T and it worked just fine with 2 sims in there.

Really? I will definitely be looking into that. Always thought the hardware itself was changed for carrier specific phones.

the one good thing about this McLaren 7T Pro through TMobile (besides 5G) is that it has band 71 and the non-tmobile does not. both do utilize band 66 though
