I just purchased 2 7Pros @ 11/29 during the Black Friday sale and finances them thru Affirm. My question is, can I return these 2 and then buy the new McLarens with T Mobile. the 5 G McLaren is what I originally wanted but they weren't available in the USA yet.

I'm not sure how you turn off 5G. I haven't had an issue with GPS so far. Are you using Android auto?

T-Mobile isn't charging extra for 5G. mmWave is very fast but it does poorly in buildings and if you can't see a small cell tower you'll lose that great speed. Verizon is stuck with mmWave.

Yeah I had the LG V30 for the same reason, but now I found out that they aren't going to turn on Band 71 4G until next year. It's all a marketing ploy

As for Oneplus 7t Pro Mclaren... LOOKS COULD BE DECEIVING! It is fast.. insanely fast including BATTERY DRAIN. To those people thinking of getting it, research, read threads about it, theres a lot of people like me who is stuck with the phone that you could barely use more than half a day unless you carry the brick charger they gave you. T-Mobile IS NO HELP, THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND OF BULLSHIT REASONS WHY THE BATTERY DRAINS FAST, while im using the apps to what I have on my previous 6t that last me a day and a half in a single charge and my 7t that can last a day and some.more. BEWARE, T-MOBILE SALES DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. PERIOD.

I disagree with the battery life, as long as you disable background apps and automatic search for wifi. I also have a 6T and had the very same issues you speak of, until I disabled stuff in the background and disabled search for wifi.

Regardless of which model phone I have used, 6T, or this one, along with countless other non-OnePlus phones, I've only ever achieved a day's worth of battery life when I used it normally. Add internet surfing and it will lose battery life exponentially. Only way I've ever achieved a day and a half to two days was buy only answering calls with no playing on them. what's the fun in that though?

I have multiple USB C chargers so I don't need to carry brick charger. They're conveniently stowed at the office, truck, camper, and next to my nightstand for overnight charging.

T-Mobile sales are just that, sales, not techs. They have no idea what the phone is or even does outside of what the box or placard says.

OnePlus on the other hand did make the phone and do the software updates.

Turn off 5g. Your phone is probably bouncing back and forth from 5g to 4g which drains battery. Mine lost 50 percent in an hour until I turned off 5g, now I have 2 day battery life.

I see that point, but whats the point of buying the 5g if you will just turn off that. but i will try

For me it was less than 10 percent faster in my area.
I personally only got the phone because I like the styling. 5g didn't matter to me.

For me it was disabling Automatically connecting and searching for wifi, background apps, along with only allowing apps to use and having GPS running when the app is open.

My 5G is on and I go in and out of 5G but I still get a full day battery now.

I would get more than that if I didn't have bitdefender constantly running too, just not willing to do that though.

this phone is the most difficult to work phone I've ever had. so non intuitive and sometimes just backwards. so much so that I came to make this lil post. coming from my Note 9 I was lured by the screen to phone ratio tbh, didn't do much or really any research before I made the decision. saw 5g and the screen and I turned my back on the note and s pen [e]1f622[/e] and now every day I think to myself why, oh why did I not just upgrade to the note 10 instead[e]1f613[/e][e]1f630[/e]. now I am counting the days until I am again upgrade eligible so that I can get rid of the horrid piece of convoluted technically. to anyone looking to purchase a practically new one plus 7 pro 5g let me know maybe we can work something out . to one plus , if you have any integrity at all, if you really care about making people's lives better through good technology, I beg you, please ,please don't sell any more of you products to the human beings of this planet. please[e]1f64f[/e] . there's almost nothing I want more in this world, One Plus, than to please be able to give this phone back to you somehow and get a note 10

If you just got it... can't you just return it to
t-mobile and pay the restocking fee. if the return time has passed you could sell it on eBay or swappa.com and yes you will lose some money, but from the what I read you really don't like the phone.

I just looked at t-mobile on line there's a 14 day return policy and a $50 restocking on smart phones.

This is what I wrote in the 5G Rollout thread. Use it or not, but as of right now the phone is working great for me.

I have nothing but appreciation for 5G right now along with knowing it's is going to keep getting better.

To combat the battery issue there are plenty of other options to disable or reduce before shutting off 5G, which makes no sense to do so, in my humble opinion.

I'm getting close to two days now on my 7T Pro 5G, by reducing my screen to 60hz instead of the default 90hz. I will let my phone's battery adapt to that use for a week and then reintroduce 90hz, to see if will adapt to it better. Visually my eyeballs aren't really noticing the difference and still looks better than my 6T.

I was already getting a full day out of it with 90hz on but have my wifi scanning off and my GPS only able to always run with my watch and the rest of my apps run GPS only while the app is open. The phone does get better battery as time goes on. I leave my 5G on in both scenarios as it defeats the purpose of having a 5G phone, there are better informed decision based cuts you can make to your phones.

Or not and go with a Samsung 5G phone and use the information provided to do the same thing to that phone.

Because you will have to in order to get optimum battery life vs performance.
