Am I the only one whose OnePlus 7T Pro Is really laggy and slow after updating to new software ? Is there something I can do to reduce those lags. I never got these lags on the previous OS. Thanks

Check if there isn't some app using excessive battery.

Additionally, while not always fun. I recommend making a backup and resetting your phone after a major version update. It solves almost all issues.

Nope you're not the only one. When you slide down the status bar while gaming it feels like 24fps transition. Also while using chrome and watching movies.

I feel that the sound after the update to Android 11 is less, also the "Vivid" screen calibration does not work as before.

Same here, what the hell. And its not just a bit, it's clear some apps do take longer to open, scroll through things slower, etc.. Is this Apple now?

Same here on my 7T. after a reboot it it fine for a while. After a while scrolling in every app is slow and laggy. This wasn't the case with android 10.

Yes, this, all around frame rate drops, stuttering, bad battery life, wonky auto brightness and sometimes dropping wifi. With 10 it was the smoothest phone I have ever seen and felt amazing everyday. Now, not so much, clearly not as enjoyable. We need a fix. Till then going back to 10. If only there was a way without loosing all the data.

I felt the same hence I unlocked the bootloader and downgraded to 10.3.8 and relocked the bootloader. Everything's fine and it feels way better on Android 10.

Hi, I've experiencing the same issues and I've seen that restarting the phone fixes the issue for a while. However, it was extremely annoying to restart the phone every time it happened so I've investigated a bit more to try to figure out if it's a real performance issue or is just the screen turning the frame rate down.
Long story short, if I switch the frame rate in the settings to 60fps and then back to 90 fps it does the trick for me.

So I recently have been having some issues with my 7 Pro after the Android 11 update: the screen refresh rate has tanked, it is very laggy, and some things take a bit longer to load. I've heard other people complain about the same thing as well. I have a remedy to recommend that may help some people tolerate this issue (sort of). If you go to the Developer Settings (if yours is not open, go to "about phone" and tap "build number" rapidly until you see the text that reads "congrats, you are now a Developer) or search for "remove animations". This will remove transition animations. It does not solve the slow and glitchy issues, but it at least hides the laggy refresh rates. Of course this is all personal preference and not everyone may find it as accommodating as I did

Same here. Scrolling through apps is somehow limited at some maximum speed. In Oxigen OS 10 scrolling speed was way faster.
Also screen touch response feel slower.
It's just feel like a slower phone. I choose this phone for his speed...
Please make it like O OS10 again

I'm here for the same.l issue, but only now I notice that my screen refresh rate was set to 60hz (I left it at 90hz on Oxy10 anyway, it somehow changed on itself), so I'm switching now back to 90hz (also the 'auto' mode is not present anymore, only 60 or 90). I don't think that for all of you was the same, also because other people already checked their refresh setting, but for these minutes everything is back to normal. I will update here if something changes anyway

    OnePlus 7T owner here -
    1. After updating to Oxy11 my phone's face unlock isn't responding like it used to; now it takes about 5 seconds to do it if I'm lucky.
    2. The display. before the update when I used to walk outside in the sun and I would see everything on the screen after I increased the brightness all the way up. Now after the update I barely see the screen even after I increase the brightness all the way up.
    3. When gaming, after the update there is a noticeable lag, like a hiccup or stutter. really annoying.

I have never dropped my phone (always in a case) and have never gotten it wet (phone is almost like new).

    OnePlus, this is very disappointing...
