I'm also having trouble opening my phone now. Periodically it's like it freezes with the screen off. Then after a few minutes it restarts itself. Not happy with this update.

I can confirm, after the update to oxygen 11, my smartphone becomes essentially slower, much much slower, very laggy, even in UI.
Android 10 was MUCH better, almost perfect
Do they have any official comments on this? Are they planning to fix it somehow? They had a very buggy beta version of this in February and looks like they released the same beta as the "Stable" version now

Hello there I confirm in my case for now that setting
refresh rate to 90hz resolved the issue (was on 60hz because I don't often play and I wanted to increase my battery life).
What I had tested restart, clear cache, clear storage, complete refresh.
So I think OnePlus must fix this but they will not they are focussing on their new smartphones (every year now ...) And I have noticed that they don't care about their users anymore buds is a nice example of ..

I also recieved update and the phone is lagging bad. What a horrible update, wish i didnt do it.

I hope its only a bug, not a planned obsolescence to buy new phones.

In so many many ways, the latest update to OS has completely messed up my OnePlus 7T. Both apps and browser links take forever to open or transition between pages. Not only that, battery is draining faster than before. There are many concerns raised by others in this forum. All of them are valid. Request OnePlus to release a patch to immediately set right all these issues. I feel like I'm using my very old OnePlus 1 instead of my OnePlus 7T.

Will you try resetting it once? That might remove unnecessary files and caches and might boost the speed.

Is anyone from the manufacturer looking at this issue, or just dismissing that with "wipe all your data"?

Same here, it's laggy, auto brightness is just bad, feels like audio is quieter, I had a moment when my OP 7t Pro just froze on black screen, gallery slower than ever, new photos take long time to load, when i crop picture i need to wait a lot of time to actually crop it.
Like... Wtf Oneplus, it is downgrade not upgrade.

It seems, that they want to upsale you a new device, what they can't, if you are still satisfied with the current one.

I too after updating my OnePlus 7 Pro to 11 have had a super slow device. App icons take so long to load. Switching apps has a notable delay and constant freezing is making this update unbearable. Thinking of going back to 10.3 unless a hotfix is soon to patch the performance.

Nothing really exciting in 11 that I am needing other than staying on latest.

I don't know why OnePlus keeps messing with the camera each major update. In the earliest os version you can record 4K wide, then in 11 you can only record 4k zoomed over the standard lens. I think 4K wide was a better option but why not both 🤷‍♂️. I get that you have new modes like 60fps but it's frustrating to lose features to gain features.

Yeah, right, that’s an answer from "Dilbert Support".
I’ll stay on 10.0.14.HD01BA and buy a new smartphone with Android 12 in October.
First and last time I bought a OnePlus

    Similar Problems here...

    - Closing Apps not working properly
-> When I swipe up and press "close all apps" all "looks like" all apps gets closed. But when I swipe up again all apps are still running, after another "close all apps" it works in most cases.
-> This could be the reason for fast battery drain
    - Switching between apps (mostly games) the screen/interaction lags... feels like "high workload" and not refresh rate for me.

    As mentioned from "Louisbaecke510"
Can someone confirm that the problems get fixed with a factory reset?

Factory reset is always the default answer, it can help sometimes... true
But I don't want to waste my time of reconfigure every app just to check if this helps.

I hate the new "lock screen pin code" position.
So for real... previously the pin code field was nearly of the bottom of the screen. So you take your O7T and use your thumbs to enter the code with one hand without problems...
Now the pin-code field is in the middel of the screen.. so i have to regrab mein O7T to reach with my thumb the upper line of numbers... totaly userunfriendly.
C´mon guys...The keyboard is ALWAYS on the bottom of the screen... why should the pin code more in the upper part of the screen??
In my humble opinion a failed design...
