Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Nov 4, 2020 : When i use keyboard my screen gets little warm specially it is noticable at night and white background, also noticed for some pictures scrolling on fb.but if i reduce refresh rate to 60hz from 90hz it doesn't happen.only effective for 90hz. What is the problem?
DrZEUS , Jan 20, 2021 : Same issue with me. Happens only on 90 Hz. Whenever I bring up the keyboard to type in any app, I start typing and as soon as I touch the text box to edit a word for example, the tint changes. Very annoying.
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 23, 2021 : Maybe it's a display tint issue or something. 90hz refresh changes its rate depending on scenario that's why maybe happens. I'm now used to it. Starting time it was very annoying.now a days i don't get disturb by it . almost forgot about it.your comment reminded me 🤣.
rahulbelurkar , via OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition , Jan 24, 2021 : Check out the night mode in settings
Gabbarsingh95 , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Jan 24, 2021 : Well this issue is with my brother's phone (oneplus 8).. i think it can be solved through an update. I dont know when the one plus give update but whenever update arrives it should fix this.. otherwise i dont know then what to do..
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : Bro look carefully what i Said.my night mode is ok. I'm well known about technology and options
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : Everything is ok.its only happens when i use my keyboard.other time no problem. It's a technical issue
Swejuggalo , via OnePlus 8 Pro , Jan 24, 2021 : If you enable the switch in developer options that let's you see the screen refresh rate... Does it switch to 60Hz when keyboard is up? That would explain it. 60Hz and 90Hz may look slightly different. This may or may not be intended (in theory battery saving but ugly and annoying if the switch is noticable). This happened by default in some 11 versions on 8 series due to a new API in 11. And many complained about color switches. On the current version it does not happen anymore though. But if this happens on 10 it must be something else triggering it. Using AutoHz or some adb trick to modify refresh rate?
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : Using normal default refresh rate. When i switched to 60hz it doesn't happened.but for 90hz it happens.specially happens in low brightness. There is a note about 90hz that it will change dynamicially based on scenarios. So what's your opinion now?
Swejuggalo , via OnePlus 8 Pro , Jan 24, 2021 : Yes like some games and certain apps... On my 7 Pro it never changed just because the keyboard opened up (atleast not noticable). So if they force it when keyboard is up these days it could be something new. And before the first versions of 11 the keyboard never triggered a different refresh rate on 8 Pro either. If this is intended it probably happens for all users on the same version using 90Hz. So if the ADB option shows it switching refresh rate they either enabled it unintendedly or intendedly.
Bhaveee , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : Well I think you should double check what u said. There is no mention of your night mode settings anywhere.
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : I mentioned "when i use keyboard" that means everywhere is ok except using keyword.
Bhaveee , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : That doesn't say anything about night mode settings. All i said is check once maybe it has some bugs. Bcoz night mode light have a bunch of bugs report.
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 24, 2021 : Night mode is ok. The problem is very minor. At first it was very noticeable.but now a days I am used to it. Now it doesn't matter.but i think this problem should get a solution.when it's noticeable it seems very irritating.
Karx100 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 25, 2021 : Also i want to add the 7T screen has a little warm tone as compared to other devices with amoled screen such as oneplus nord, 8T or any other phones. Do you guys also feel that?
Mahir64 , via OnePlus 7T , Jan 26, 2021 : Google keyboard.and i tried many others.same problem.but if i use 60hz no problem occurs
